this middle-aged woman came marching past my barstool, and she looked displeased with something, maybe with me, since i was staring at her tits, which were encased in a tight white sweater and bullet-proof bra and reminded me of a 55 buick. i got some kind of mental wave from her, disgust mainly, that nearly knoocked me off my stool. what the hell was that about?

Newly unearthed State Department documents confirm for the first time Uncle Sam's belief that the Abominable Snowman roamed the mountains of Nepal in the 1950s, a finding that has shocked federal officials including the archivist who discovered the papers. Long written off as a myth—it was never caught or photographed—the documents provided by the National Archives show that officials in the State Department, Foreign Service, and U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, not only believed in "Yeti," but endorsed rules for American expeditions to follow when hunting the toothy monster down. "There are, at present, three regulations applicable only to expeditions ...

April 14, 2011 —NASA astronaut and accomplished flautist Col. Catherine Coleman joined rock legend Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull in the first-ever Space Flute Duet last week in honor of Yuri Gagarin’s historic space flight 50 years ago. Coleman, who is stationed on the International Space Station, broke into an arrangement of Bach’s Bourrée in E minor, which was also on Tull’s 1969 album, Stand Up. A video of the cosmic mash-up was posted earlier this week showing Coleman playing in ISS weightlessness 220 miles above Earth. Anderson joins mid-verse, playing from Perm, Russia. “Thanks Col. Catherine Coleman in the International Space Station,” Anderson ...

I'm just a wandering on the face of this earth Meeting so many people Who are trying to be free And while I'm traveling I hear so many words Language barriers broken Now we've found the key And if you want the wind of change To blow about you And you're the only other person to know, don't tell me I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band. A thousand pictures can be drawn from one word Only who is the artist We got to agree A thousand miles can lead so many ways Just to know who is driving What a help it would be So if you want this world of yours To turn about you And you can see exactly what to do Please tell me I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band. ...

Poster Comment:Now this is the sound of AMERICA! Sung by some old farts and one black lady. I stumbled on this through one song on a compilation I'd bought on iTunes. I never knew who this guy was until today, just the sound. Poor out a little liquor for the studio musicians. Van Horne's musical group, the Randy Van Horne Singers, performed the theme songs for many classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons including The Flintstones, Top Cat, The Jetsons, and The Huckleberry Hound Show. Poster Comment: This land is mine, God gave this land to me This brave and ancient land to me And when the morning sun reveals her hills and plain Then I see a land where children can run free So take my hand and walk this land with me And walk this lovely land with me Though I am just a man, when you are by my side With the help of God, I know I can be strong Though I am just a man, when you are by my side With the help of God, I know I can be strong To make this land our home If I must fight, I'll fight to make this land our own Until I die, this land is mine I like to apply these lyrics to my land, America.
