FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Another round of tankers from the Grissom Air Reserve Base flew into Fort Wayne on Tuesday. The KC-135 refueling tankers will temporarily call Fort Wayne International Airport and the 122nd [Tactical] Fighter Wing home [A-10 Warthogs]. The air base in Peru, Indiana [North of Kokomo on US31] said some of its aircraft are set to operate out of Fort Wayne during the early stages of a runway improvement project for Grissom. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — For over two decades, peregrine falcons have laid eggs atop the tallest building in Fort Wayne: the Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) Center [formerly One Summit Square]. This year is no different as the I&M Falcon Cam has captured a peregrine falcon taking care of four eggs in a nesting box at the top of the building. Researchers are sounding the alarm about a “new crisis” of “increasing all-cause mortality in US children.” Their findings were published in the March issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
