While an overwhelming share of American voters believe the rising trend of overdoses from the opioid drug fentanyl is a serious issue and becoming a bigger problem, a new poll suggests nearly two-thirds don't know the scale of the problem in the United States. A national survey of 1,000 likely U.S. voters conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC for Rasmussen Reports from Sept. 26 to Sept. 27 by phone and finds that 91% of participants believe the country's fentanyl issue is serious, with 73% describing it as a "very serious problem." The poll's margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% confidence level.
