Maybe use the enclosure/faraday cage from an old (huge, you know the ones..) PC to house the power supply within it?

I would imagine a large Sub-Woofer box would be ideal for such a thing.

I'm just going to build it as a head. Just buy a stock aluminum box off mouser for the chassis, although the corn bread pan is funny.

Eventtually, I'd like to try to build 1966 a black face bassman. You can get the schematics and chassis layout off the internet. Apparently all the parts are available. The thing is all point to point wiring inside.

Everyone who knows anything about it however has told me to build the simple one first. Apparently, the real trick is to get the hum and distortion tuned out once you get it wired up. They tell me the multistage bassman would just get away from a newbie like me.
