Pakistani president: Osama bin Laden is dead Share on Facebook By David Edwards and Jeremy Gantz Published: May 10, 2009 Updated 2 hours ago Two weeks ago, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zadari suggested that Osama bin Laden might be dead, saying that U.S. and Pakistani intelligence agencies had been unable to detect any sign of the world’s most wanted man since an audio recording of his voice was released in March. Sunday morning, Zadari went further: “I don’t think he’s alive,” the president told NBC’s David Gregory. “I have a strong feeling and reason to believe that.” Zadari continued: “I have asked my counterparts in the American intelligence services and they haven’t heard [from] him in seven years.” The CIA has not confirmed that the voice purporting to be bin Laden in the March recording was in fact bin Laden. U.S. officials have claimed that bin Laden could be hiding in the mountainous region along the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Just before saying that he believes bin Laden is dead, Zadari told Gregory that “You have been looking [in Afghanistan] for eight years, you tell me. You lost him in Torah Borah, I didn’t.” But Pakistan is still part of the worldwide “lookout brigade” for the alleged terrorism mastermind, Zadari said. This video is from NBC’s Meet the Press, broadcast May 10, 2009. Poster Comment: Don't know if Zadari got the OK to say this from us or not. Gregory's question seems to me if he was priming the pump. At any rate, Zadari says he got the info from our intelligence people. I liked watching this guy kick us in the pants for out support and creation of al Qaeda. He's been dead since late 2001. He had bad kidneys and was using helicopters to transport his dialysis machines. Stupid white people! Invented nearly everything in the world, and extended bin Laden's life long enough to attack us. The savages of Africa, Asia and the Middle East can go straight to Hell.
They'll have the savages of North America and Europe for company. Cheers.

That sounds about right. Maybe eight years.
When my grandpop was at home many years ago, a speech by Onkel Adolf came on the radio, and the Fuehrer stopped at the end of his applause line. My grandfather remarked, "Paid applause." Bezahlter Beifall. His wife and daughters rebuked him fearfully, "Freddie, don't say that. Someone might hear you!" In his own house no less. Here I am many years later, and often I feel that I'm afloat in a similar sea of ignorance. There is such a yawning lack of politcal discernment in this land that I am just about driven to despair. I find it hard to believe that Americans lap up these lies, myths and half truths like my doggie gobbled up the egg I fed him this morning. My doggie is like the American people: He sucks up to anyone who will pet him or feed him a treat without reservation. Of course he is a killer when it comes to creatures smaller than himself, cats and squirrels and raccoons. He loves to break their little necks. I'll have to hand it to him, though. He's not afraid of copperhead snakes, even when he knows he'll get bit. He can be a bully, but he's a tough little bastard sometimes. Sorry for the meandering post. My mind is wandering down all sorts of strange avenues this evening.

It's a fine line between being too specific and long winded and therefore too irritating to bother to read, and being too cryptic and therefore too irritating to try to interpret.
