They are inviting soldiers from the Fort Hood area to come down and say that they would be ashamed of their mother if she did what Mrs. Sheehan is doing. Protest to KLFX! Their number is 1-254-699-5000, and YES, I'm keeping that number here. It's also publicly accessible here.

Joe Trippi has posted this at http://JoeTrippi.com and it is crossposted at http://Democrats.com as a plea for help for Cindy Sheehan, who is sick.

I just got off of the phone with Jodie Evans, who is with Cindy in Crawford right now. They had 3 and a half inches of rain last night. The camp is flooded, all of their supplies are soaked. Even worse, Cindy is running a fever and has a sore throat.

They really need your help. We are trying to dig out anyone who can volunteer to go to the camp and bring them fresh materials - umbrellas, chairs, blankets, etc... They are having a terrible time acquiring these things on their own, so they really are depending on us to help them out quickly.

If anyone can do anything to help, please send an email to meetwithcindy@gmail.com - we can answer questions, give you directions, or send Cindy your thoughts.

Thanks, Joe

We can't let Cindy down!

Please help Cindy Sheehan if you can as Joe mentions above. Ignore the poll if you don't like it (I can't delete it), but PLEASE help Cindy.

Update [2005-8-10 13:11:45 by patrioticliberal]:Please recommend this diary so others can help Cindy. And yes, I'll keep the email for meetwithcindy here; if it's posted at Joe Trippi's site and at http://Democrats.com, it'll be posted here. Stop whining and actually help. Thanks :) .

The organizers include he American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), Code Pink, United for Peace and Justice, and Veterans for Peace.

CELESTE ZAPALA says that if you are going to "Camp Casey", please park at Crawford Peace House. There is no room at "Camp Casey" for your truck. Poll Will you help Cindy? Yes, I will. No, fuck you.

ED SCHULTZ JUST CONFIRMED THIS ON AIR. He also said that the Ft. Hood military ARE being ALLOWED at this thing.

I heard the complete Ft Hood segment on the Schultz show. My jaw dropped. The active military will be going up against the parents of members who have been killed. If this doesn't ignite a blowback of Vietnam proportions, nothing will.

Oh how I'd love to meet some FReepers there face to face. They need an ass kicking and a one way ticket to Baghdad.

I think the latter would preform the former in time.

"Go poke that IED with this stick...FOR FREEDOM!"

"Okay, if its for freedom and all."

Might be time to break out the popcorn on this one. A bunch of FR brand BOTs coming loose and belittling people who lost sons and fathers in Iraq, with the results ending up on national TV. That should help the war effort.

Here's an interesting story from the WP:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/09/AR2005080901441_pf.html

One day a nurse came in to ask Rodgers if he wanted to meet President Bush, who was visiting the hospital. Rodgers declined.

"I don't want anything to do with him," he explains. "My belief is that his ego is getting people killed and mutilated for no reason -- just his ego and his reputation. If we really wanted to, we could pull out of Iraq. Maybe not completely but enough that we wouldn't be losing people -- at least not at this rate. So I think he himself is responsible for quite a few American deaths."

Bill Swisher, a spokesman for Walter Reed, says it's "fairly common" for patients to decline to see visitors. "We've had visitors from Sheryl Crow to Hulk Hogan," he says, but he has no idea how many have refused to see Bush, who has visited the hospital eight times.

Rodgers says he also declined to meet Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleezza Rice. This wounded soldier has lost faith in his leaders, and he no longer believes their repeated assurances of victory.

Cindy Sheehan: "My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel."

Cindy gets it!

Isn't that just what we told a certain 20 year old a year ago, and he went Devil Spawn on us?

Yeah, you and me both.

That goddamn Bush sure is a "uniter not a divider" all right. He's united 6.2 billion people against the U.S. while simultaneously putting about 300 million people at each other's throats.

There's nothing worth saving here anymore. Time to step into the killing zone real soon. Better make sure the backhoe is tuned-up.

Yes, it is. BTW, where are the BIG anti-war groups? Notice the groups supporting Cindy are all small grassroots efforts.

Like all good democrats, off defending the status quo.

We should thank the Nazis for giving us all those stark, frightening images. How else we gonna learn not to act like that? On the other hand, monkey see...

It took one person having the guts to stand up and dig her heels in. Not quite the 60s.. the 60s didnt have the PA and 'free speech zones'.

Well its going to take a LOT to end the insanity for sure. WAY too much invested and too much money and power to give up. Heck if this lights a fire under the Americans then they'll apply more pressure and IMO the only way there will be change is if they average American feels the heat.

I was wondering about this. I am guessing the cops are making it hard for non- residents to get in. I think this actually works for Sheehan. It keeps things focused and serious.

The last thing you want here are a bunch of wiccans and NWO Protest kids with nose rings cavorting around. That's the big problem with the Sept 24 anti-war demo here in DC. Every weird group in the country is trying to get it's agenda on the table along with the anti-war stuff. Makes things devolve into a circus.

This is another anti-American Bit** who has been taken over by the anti-American left-wing and the media is all aglow and putting her lies and traitorous crap as the real thing. The media is totally anti-American and would start up the ovens again if they get the chance.

It's the Freepers who are chomping at the bit to get the ovens going. Just look at how they cheered when Michelle Malkin was stumping in favor of internment camps.

Laughable. More evidence of the growing phenomena known as *0venphobia.

Ovenphobia: A neocon reference to an overblown historical event. Used as a knee jerk reaction to stifle free speech.

Well, I just perused through those FR threads.

I just refuse to believe those sick f--ks at FR are Americans. How Compassionate!! How Christian!! How Constitutional and Conservative!! GGGAAACCKKK.

And, anytime (which is, of course, the least possible) I go over to FR, it KILLS me wanting to know exactly what those "Comment[s] removed [CENSORED] by Moderator" are. Most likely something I would agree with. Accordingly, whenever I see that over at FR, I shall simply visualize what I would have said.

Dr. Condoleezza Rice said that the “security of Israel is the key to security of the world.”
