Yeah, the times when five or ten bucks would buy enough gas to cruise most of the night. Those were good times indeed.

Goodness, a few years earlier, you could buy a few gallons at nineteen cents, go to the drive-in for a buck and a half, and get some cheap wine for a couple of bucks.

Five bucks, and you were the MAN. ;-)
