If more people knew what was in the Talmud and that it was Jews most sacred book then they would not tolerate Jews ruling anything in America. The Talmud is the key to defeating these parasites. Make sure everyone you meet knows this truth. Carry a copy of the Talmud with you and show them the damming truth of the religion of Judaism. The only way to stop them is to inform as many people as possible of this cult's beliefs.

How does a otherwise intellectual populace allow such people to rule them?

It defies all reason until you realize their main power is not physical or mental, but spiritual. They get their power straight from Satan and his demons to trick people that are not true Christians.
