Breaking News - May 12, 2009, Hillsboro, MO Woman Arrested In Her Own Home For Trespassing. This shocking arrest occurred while Dawn Welsh was in her home with her children. The entire event transpired while Dawn was on the phone with GCN's Power Hour host, Joyce Riley. This is the SAME state and Law Enforcement network in Missouri, that stated that Ron Paul and any of his supporters were Terrorists. The secret "law enforcement only" report distributed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) entitled “The Modern Militia Movement” dated February 20, 2009 received criticism when it was leaked to the public. It is also the same state and law enforcement that detained a Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty employee, Steve Bierfeldt at the St. Louis airport and where Governor Matt Blunt had "gone of the deep end" with his Obama "Truth Squads" back in September of 2008. Backstory: Dawn Welsh thought her house was paid off. She received paperwork from her bank showing it was paid off, but through a series of her mortgage being bought and sold, Wachovia Bank was the final owner of the mortgage and claimed Welsh was still owed on her home despite papers showing otherwise. [file]e60e9d99626c[/file] Today, Hillsboro, Missouri police came onto her property and broke her door down to remove her from her property near St. Louis. They used a battering ram to enter her home, despite her showing evidence in the past that she owned the property. She had gone to court previously and showed a judge the mortgage was paid in full, and it is a record of the court. However, these are desperate times for Wachovia who continued to threaten the 54-year-old woman. These paperwork problems aren't uncommon. In fact many people wind up in court after they are told they owe more money on their homes after a series of mortgages being pushed back and forth through the mortgage process. Wachovia Mortgage took over the mortgage and said they weren't going to honor the paperwork from the previous mortgage and continued to harass this woman. So we have a woman with the proper papers showing her house is paid off with the police and the courts ignoring the paperwork according to the story. It seems so fitting that the banks have become so desperate to make up their losses that they are bullying themselves over hard-working people in scams to collect even more from the mortgages. They have received hundreds of billions from the taxpayers, and yet they pushed this lady into the corner. Property rights are definitely in question in the United States and with the government's interest in the banks, we might see more of this as the government looks for sources of income to fix broken programs that are running out of money. Will they go as far as confiscating property through the banks? That's the real question that comes from today's story. And, in light of recent events, out of control spending and our government trampling on our rights under the Constitution, you have to ask yourself what are you going to do when they come for YOU

I've been in Hillsboro several times, and I'm having a hard time believing this is the whole story. If she had proof her house was paid, what's the problem? The author is insinuating Wachovia controls the Hillsboro police, which is complete nonsense. There's more to this that what is in the story. I think this story is a hoax. I can find nothing about it from a legitimite source, just bloggers. Her name is not listed in Hillsboro, or for any foreclosure. If this was true, newspapers, the TV, and radio would be all over it. I have a degree in Journalism and was a newspaper reporter and editor, and this story smelled bad right from the beginning.
I agree with you, Turtle. I heard some of this story on the radio, after the initial call, and I get the feeling there's more here than we know.
