Seattle deputy's shove leaves innocent man in coma By TIM KLASS (Associated Press Writer) From Associated Press May 22, 2009 10:55 AM EDT

SEATTLE - Authorities have released surveillance video showing a burly sheriff's deputy slamming a man head first into a wall earlier this month, leaving him in a coma.

Christopher Harris remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center, his family says. The 29-year-old had been pursued by deputies May 10 after a witness wrongly identified him as a suspect in an assault.

Sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart (URK'-hart), who released the video Thursday, says Deputy Matthew Paul did not violate policy in tackling Harris. He says Harris was trying to get away, and calls the injury "a tragic accident."

A Harris family lawyer says the video and witness accounts show he was a victim of excessive force.

A. There is no doubt he was wrongly identified. Even the Pigs are admitting that.

Fear and knowledge, but the videotapes of the event don't show him running - just cowering from the threatening Pigs bearing down on him and then who beat him up for the crime of looking like a suspect. So, provide your justification for assuming the victim of Pig abuse was guilty of "sumthin"? After all the Pigs said he ran, even though the video does not show that, so he must be guilty of sumthin' or they wouldn't have beat his head against a concrete wall. Right? After all the Police have never been known to abuse suspects or arrest the wrong man. Right? The Seattle PD has a reputation for beating people up for no good reason. During the trials after the WTO protests a few years ago some independent and securty videotapes showed the Pigs, and I do mean pigs, clubbing innocent people into a bloody pulp. They were also caught perjuring themselves - which the videotapes also proved and resulted in the kids were falsely arrested, the rioters that threw rocks at the pigs were government plants, being absolved and found not guilty, but not until after they had been beaten up by rampaging pigs.
