I realized last night I couldn't find Mickey the pug in the house. I realized he must have pushed the back screen door open and run out.
Pugs are very stupid and do not understand how to come home. They also don't understand cars.
I walked around looking for him but could not find him.
This morning I went out at five, knowing he couldn't be more than a block away. Pugs have no endurance.
My neighbor in the next block, who was sitting on his porch at five in the morning smoking a cigarette (he does this all the time), said, "Hey, you want a pug?"
Sure enough, it was Mickey. The guy had fed him, "and fed him, and fed him, and he just kept stuffing himself."
He had seen him going door to door in the morning, trying to find his way home.
I thanked him profusedly, and Mickey followed me home, where he immediately jumped on the couch and went to sleep.
