CAIR normally denounces Islamic terror attacks against Americans on US soil, but not against Americans serving in uniform overseas. Last week’s murder of 23-year-old Pvt. William Long in Arkansas presented a bit of a dilemma. (So far CAIR refuses to condemn it).

Having "served" long ago, I will say this... No matter how or why one becomes military, there is ALWAYS a sense of brotherhood. It is not taught, it just happens. Difficult to explain. Honesty did not realize that ...expressionless face...is a medical malady.

I understand the concept of brotherhood as it applies to the military. Unfortuntately, it means soldiers kill enemy soldiers not because they hate them, but because they killed their buddies. And the rich laff and laff. "Rich man's war, poor man's fight."

You folks are down right silly. At one moment in time not having an expression is not a medical malady, when in deep thought one can lose expression, but deep thought maybe that is crazy talk. In this photo he looks generally happy, and I believe it so. However, a study of faces and expressions years ago showed that we humans are not so adept as to consistently be able to spot a fake smile from a real one. I suspect why no one focused on the technical points I had made early was because these are not discussions but "Streams of Gotcha". That said, I am still not a mind reader so I cannot tell if he is proud in this picture and I wouldn't shame him by claiming to know how he is feeling. But, shame to those who do, you are the serpents whom justify any crime by any means.

Yes, he does look happy, but the expression is specifically pride. I think everyone here will agree it is pride. As much as I dislike believing it, my experience is that people who have expressions of pride oftentimes tend to be not very smart.
