For education and discussion only. Not for commercial use.

Crawford, Texas (AHN) - Pressure mounted against anti-war protester and mother of fallen Army Spc. Casey Sheehan Friday from millions of bloggers as well as cable news and talk radio outlets began to rip her intentions as well as her motivations to shreds.

Ms. Sheehan is camping out on the road that leads to President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch for the entire month of August where Bush makes an annual visit. The President continues his day-to-day business with daily briefings, trips to sign bills around the nation, and meets with organizations across the country while returning to the ranch by the afternoon.

The President's motorcade has passed Ms. Sheehan numerous times without stopping to address her or her fellow anti-war protesters who claim they want to ask the president questions about "why he lied to them about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and an Al-Qaeda link to the country," which reportedly never existed.

But as the week went on, numerous stories began to emerge about Ms. Sheehan and her ties to radical left-wing anti-war groups as well as inaccurate versions of her first meeting with President Bush at Fort Lewis in Washington. An unearthed article documented in the Vacaville Reporter News contradicted the current story Sheehan has been playing in front of dozens of reporters and media outlets across the world.

Now Ms. Sheehan finds herself in an even deeper credibility issues as bloggers from various websites including Free Republic.com and military forums on the Internet discovered images during a google search of the first meeting of Bush and Sheehan where the President is giving Sheehan a consoling kiss on her cheek in a group family photo.

Ms. Sheehan made no official comment about the discovery of the photo's on Friday but claims that she will move her protest to the sidewalks in front of the White House where the President is scheduled to return after Labor Day weekend.

When you see that sort of loony, over the top stuff you know she is really hitting home. Also, that crap really turns off the average person. Nothing helps Sheehan like a pack of ranting, hate filled wingnuts.

I think their bubble is bursting. The Washington Post article I posted tonight is really significant. It's going to shift the paradigm on how the war is viewed. Basically they are saying it's an acknowledged failure. Bush can't even spin this on Sunday. I think the walls are starting to cave in and this is why you see the hysteria.

McNamara's List:

We misjudged then -- and we have since -- the geopolitical intentions of our adversaries . . . and we exaggerated the dangers to the United States of their actions.

We viewed the people and leaders of South Vietnam in terms of our own experience. . . . We totally misjudged the political forces within the country.

We underestimated the power of nationalism to motivate a people to fight and die for their beliefs and values.

Our judgments of friend and foe alike reflected our profound ignorance of the history, culture, and politics of the people in the area, and the personalities and habits of their leaders.

We failed then -- and have since -- to recognize the limitations of modern, high-technology military equipment, forces and doctrine. . . . We failed as well to adapt our military tactics to the task of winning the hearts and minds of people from a totally different culture.

Interesting post, good find christine.

You'd think one of the most important things to study before going to any war would be the habits, culture and collective belief systems of the so called enemy. I didn't realize they failed to do that with Vietnam as well. This current bunch ruling us appear by their actions to think there are 2 types of people in this world; there are a few people like them, then there are all the rest of the people who are stupid and ignorant.

I can't believe those in charge of this war really did think that the Iraqi people would welcome us with open arms when they were invaded. I thought all along that was just a line of bull to feed to the brainwashed FOX-viewing American public.

And Treason is the vile attitude you have toward the men and women who serve honorably in our military

No, it’s contempt, disdain and profound embarrassment. For sure it isn’t respect. Anyone who knowingly volunteers for the military in our constitutional Republic, and then finds themselves a part of an invading army, has a duty to turn their weapons on those who gave the order. That would be courage.

To them, it does make sense. They want Israel surrounded by hand picked puppet governments, and the rights to the worlds largest oil supply. Military lives are expendable, and unfortunately from what I've seen of the military, they are far too eager to aid in this imperialism. I have no sympathy for Hessians.

Or do you drink beer and pound the keyboard while sending other people's kids to die?

I guess that's his idea of "pulling out all the stops" and being "involved." Wille, how are you "involved" with this war? Did you put a ribbon on your car? Or maybe a flag? Is that the extent of your "involvement" with this war? Not too much of a risk is it? Not near as much risk as a kid that has been sold a bill of lies about the enemy and was naive and trusting enough to believe it.

God is always good!

Did this bitch with the overbite actually say this??????

http://www.jewishpress.com/news_article_print.asp? article=2380

Posted 5/14/2003 By Avraham Shmuel Lewin, Israel Correspondent TEL AVIV – In an exclusive interview with Israel’s daily Yediot Aharonot recently, National Security Adviser Dr. Condoleezza Rice said that the “security of Israel is the key to security of the world.” Rice added that she feels “a deep bond to Israel.

Asked if her feelings toward Israel stem from her religious convictions, Dr. Rice said, “That is a very deep question. I first visited Israel in 2000. I already then felt that I am returning home despite the fact that this was a place I never visited. I have a deep affinity with Israel. I have always admired the history of the State of Israel and the hardness and determination of the people that founded it.

“Israel was a state who in the beginning was not given a chance to survive. She survived mainly because of the hardness of the Israelis and their readiness to sacrifice their lives for the state.

“I am also the daughter of a Presbyterian minister and was brought up on the very moving stories of the Holy Land. They mean a lot to me. When I first visited Mt. Olives, Lake Kinneret, Jerusalem, I felt a very deep emotional experience.

“I think that we, Israel and the U.S., share common values. Israel is the only democracy in the region. That is also very important. When I was in Israel I also was impressed that you have a big economic future. I come from Silicon valley. There are a lot of similarities between the high-tech industry in California and in Israel. I also felt at home in this area.

“I was pleased to hear that Israel is currently exerting great effort in economic reforms. I discussed this at length with Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his aides. Israel has a very bright future provided that these economic reforms are met.

Rice was asked why the U.S. is not determined to get rid of Yasir Arafat as it was with Saddam Hussein.

Dr. Condoleezza Rice said that the “security of Israel is the key to security of the world.”

Somehow I’m not surprised, since her political mentor was Madeline Albright’s father, when he was a professor at the Univ. of Colorado, and she was a student. It’s funny watching the sheeple cheer for one political side or the other when all along the elites are of one mind, and one agenda.

"...survived mainly..."

And $2 Trillion from the American treasury certainly didn't hurt, eh Condi??

And this is more accurate:

"She [Israel] survived mainly because of the hardness of the Israelis and their readiness to sacrifice Palestinian lives for the state."

Notice Condi considers Israel to be her real homeland. And so goes our entire executive branch.

God help the United States. Please.

The only support you give American troops is placing them in harms way in an unethical, unnecessary, and immoral war clearly being fought ONLY to protect the interests of a foreign country--Israel--and the American big business elite.

That makes you a traitor to the troops and to the United States of America as well.

And as to your prior claims of being a Buchanan disciple (Go, Pat, Go), it is clear you are an ideological schizophrenic.
