Poster Comment: I took Mickey the pug outside yesterday morning to potty. Still dim out, sky barely lightening. Turns out there was a stray black cat next to the house, which I did not see, but Mickey sure did. Zoom, he takes off after the cat, which flees. By the time I made it around the house, both were gone. I walked around the block looking for him, but when I got back he was waiting in the back yard. Maybe he learned from the last time that staying out all night meant no food or water the whole time. I didn't think had enough sense to find his way home.

Whew! I'm glad you found him! I went out earlier to go to the grocery store, and saw a black cat by my house that I'd never seen before. Had my poodle been out he would have probably chased the cat too! I've never seen any cats in this neighborhood, I have one but I keep him indoors.
The black cat is wild and has yellow eyes. I've seen him several times. I think he eats birds. Mickey runs a faster faster than I thought he could. But he came back. From now on I'm always putting the harness on him when he's outside. All the kids in the neighborhood -- and there are a lot -- always run out to play with him. Two little girls last week tried to get me to pay them $5 to sing for me, so I gave them a $5 and they sang me a song. Mickey started howling along with them.
