I have a Ford Windstar van. It's listed as a minivan, which means it's not a cargo van but is still pretty big.

I'm driving down a busy street yesterday and some moronic bike rider (they're all stupid) is riding in the street.

I look in the back mirror and I'm being tailgated. I can't stop. There is also an SUV next to me.

So I nearly sideswipe the guy. It's so close he wobbles, throws out an arm and curses me.

All bikeriders are stupid. They have no undestanding they have no rights whatsoever, according to the laws of physics. A car will always beat a bike-rider 100% of the time.

The first thing my parents told me was to never ride my bike in the street.

Apparently bikeriders think their hostility and stupidity will save them from getting hit by a car.

I hate being tail-gated. I drive fast already, and when someone rides my tail I'll start driving all crazy so as to scare them into moving back a bit. It works every time.

Bike riders are annoying. And they wear these gay looking color coordinated tight outfits which makes them even more annoying.

Next time someone does that to you, tap on the brakes and slow down a little. Defensive driving is good, but sometimes you need to go on the offensive to keep yourself safe.

I've tried that. I've been rear-ended at least three times doing that. Let's not count the cursing and one-finger salutes.

That's why I don't live in the city anymore. I just ended up being in it yesterday.

This guy was doing the whole bit -- the ten-speed, the stream-lined helmet, the tight clothing.

They're all hostile. And stupid.

I know a guy who was working on a Ph.D in Molecular Biology until a car hit him. Now's he's on welfare since he has brain damage.

Did you make any money? That is strictly a rhetorical question. Dont' answer it.

I edited my post above. The tactic could pay off. Their stupidity should cost them.

I've had a few drunks picked off from behind me. They seem to think that truck drivers know where all the pigs are. Not too many of us really give a damn. Pigs know they tailgate trucks. And it's amusing to go from 65 down to 55 or 50 when someone did that to me.

This is the perfect attitude for any driver who wishes to lose their entire life's earnings in a civil lawsuit, plus spend some time in the local pokey for good measure. Have a nice day. :)

Where I live one bike rider a year gets killed and the driver is never charged.

I have never seen a bikerider stop at a stop sign. They are supposed to follow exactly the same traffic laws as cars.

As I said before, I know a former bike rider who was working on a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology before a car hit him. Now he's on welfare and has trouble talking.

Before you start babbling around jail and lawsuits, grow a brain. You certainly don't have one right now.

This is a familiar complaint, so I watch cars and find that not one in a hundred stop at a stop sign. It's a red herring argument. Besides, a good conservative state, Idaho, has rational laws that allow bikes to roll stop signs. And before you write that off as some wacky aberration, the Idaho law enforcement agencies regularly send representatives to other states consider that legislation to testify how it reduces conflict and increases safety.

As for brains... I'm sure we could find a Ph.D. who was killed by a semi truck while driving their car. Perhaps I'll be killed while riding, but one thing is for certain; I won't suffer organ failure due to some nasty cholesterol drug. Riding helps me keep the fat off and relieves stress.

There are lots of risks in life. But, we don't have to put up with drunks waiving guns in our face and we don't have to put up with aggressive drivers trying to push us off the road, just because they suffer a sense of self important bigotry.
