Without question ! This reminded me of an old guy here whose wife is a real talker. He got hearing aids but always kept them turned off around her. Someone asked him if her gabbiness ever got to him. He replied, I just thought she was chewing gum.

Most women don't realize but when women jabber men learn quickly to tune it out. We just smile and go uh huh, uh huh. But we don't hear a word being said to us.
Men seem to listen to me. But then I listen to men.
When women ask me, "What are you thinking," and I tell them, "Nothing," I'm telling them the truth. Most of them time there's just a hum in my head, like "HUMMMMMMM." No thoughts at all.

You mess with Turtle, and Turtle will muss you up, the way Henery Hawk mussed up Leghorn Foghorn.
That's the early version of 'nagging'.
