Jobs Had Liver Transplant Apple Chief on Track to Return to Work at End of June; No. 2 May Expand Role Steve Jobs, who has been on medical leave from Apple Inc. since January to treat an undisclosed medical condition, received a liver transplant in Tennessee about two months ago. The chief executive has been recovering well and is expected to return to work on schedule later this month, though he may work part-time initially. Money is a wonderful thing. It let's you jump right to the front of the line when being first really counts.
Pancreatic cancer.
How would a new liver help with pancreatic cancer? Thanks.
The story is that he had a rare form of the disease that was successfully treated with surgery. However, having a liver transplant indicates that the cancer may have returned and spread there. I am not a doctor, though, so this is just a guess by me. Apple being Apple, they're not saying anything more.
Since livers regenerate, I wonder if I could sell part of mine? One millions dollars is the asking price.
We lost a great BIL to pancreatic cancer, and they had the resources to go to the best clinics and hospitals that this country has to offer - to no avail. By the time that the pain in the back is severe enough to seek help, it is too late in something like 95p/c of the cases.
Is there much demand for used turtle livers?
