What an awful pug I have. This is the third bird he's caught. This time he crunched it and it was dead on the spot. So I let him eat it. He sat down, held it between his paws, and contentedly ate it feathers and all. Took about ten minutes. I keep forgetting dogs are carnivores and scavengers. Even pugs. Can't breed that stuff out, I guess.

you must have slow birds out there. pugs do not appear to myself to be creatures of stealth and speed. my cockapoo was menaced by hawks the other day, so beware of the circle of life.

It was one of the 50 billion sparrows in the world. It was by a fence, and Mickey saw it while I did not. He ran to it, it tried to hop away, he grabbed it, and crunch, it was dead. Then he ate it, quite contentedly. The whole thing, feathers and all.
