It is actaully good that it is not against the law. What do you want some kind of organization monitoring the news. Making it a crime if they "lied". That sounds like a ministry of truth. I don't wont no government ministry of truth. News organizations build reputations based on what they put out. Judging them by their reputations is good enough.
