Stand and be counted. It is time to separate the wheat from the chaff. It is time to publicly show our fellow citizens on which side we stand. It is time to call out each other in public and make a statement. Which is why I'm proposing that we address each other in the following manner whether in private or in public by simply addressing each other in word or in letter with, "Hello Patriot". In the Charles Dickens classic, "The Tale of Two Cities" which took place at the onset of the French Revolution [not comparable to the First American War for Independence], people within the city addressed each other with "Citizen". It was a not only a way of letting people know that they lived within the city limits, it was also a subtle way of distinguishing themselves from the ruling class. We need to separate ourselves from the compliant elitist crowd immediately with greetings and salutations of "Hello Patriot".
This greeting can give meaning to many things we all have in common. It can say, I'm for the rule of law, not the rule of man. I'm for honest money and taxation, not theft. I'm for life, not death. I'm for peace, not war. I'm for love, not hate. I'm for justice, not injustice. I'm for defense, not offense. I'm for truth, not lies. I'm for honesty, not deception. I'm for the Declaration of Independence, not government dependence. I think you get the idea. May I address you by saying... "Hello Patriot".
Well, I believe it is time to let people know where we stand. What do you think? Our numbers need to be known, and our voices need to be heard other than behind the safety of our computer screens in the vast impersonal world of cyberspace. There is no better way than making a statement at the onset of every face to face conversation or letter with "Hello Patriot".
