Over the past few months, I've noticed that there is an increase in LP Members who choose to use words and namecalling to:

ridicule others

demean others

undermine others

"pigeonhole" others or events

This is being done by those who do not agree with a position or person. Rather than engage in debate and rebuttal, certain individuals simply screech out (or type out) their favorite nom du jour and avoid any intelligent discussion.

It's going to STOP!

Polite requests have not worked.

Removal of posts has not worked.

Removal of posts and RED comments of UNCIVIL behavior has not worked.

So now, we WILL do something that WILL work!

Henceforth, when any issue arises, or any discussion occurs, and the person trivializes it by either labeling it as:

-- kook

-- nutcase

or any variation thereof, I'm just going to remove the person permanently. Ban them.

I believe that there may be some new "plants" here from that "Acorn" group or something similar. Regardless of who it is, these actions are INCOMPATABLE with Free Speech under the First Amendment.

To have some folks polluting the LP discussions with a low-brow, uneducated method of halting discussion is unacceptable.

It's like urinating in the swimming pool. Uncouth, vulgar, and disgusting.

Earlier, we had various people calling each other names, and it was a personal issue.

This is different.

This will not stand.

If this restriction is intolerable to those who engage in this with your limited mental processes, please don't hesitate to leave. You will NOT be missed.

You are ALL hereby put on notice to cease and desist from this activity: Immediately

If you find a new word that does the same thing....guess what?

This same rule will cause the deletion of the offender.

LP "WILL" be a site for news DISCUSSION. Period.

We will have this added to our official rules.

I still think I nailed it on the thread I was banned on - when Goldi was unemployed she was offered a simple proposition - "we'll give you a good job just cooperate with us". Liberty Post was a bare knuckle fight before - and now it is a bare knuckle fight with the defenders of liberty being required to wear an eye patch over one eye, one hand behind their back, and a cement galosh on one foot.

Maybe, but I think it there is a much simpler reason for her change. Once she moved to Florida, she met a whole new group of people. The job she took was with a company within the Military Industrial Complex. Her whole livelihood depended upon the war and the deaths of American troops. On top of that, a huge majority of those who work for the MIC are former military, and at the time she took the job, Bush was still being hailed as a God. She was influenced by them. She went from being anti-government to being a Bushbot within six months.

At the same time, my guess is that the new synagogue she began attending was different in the one she was attending up north. I believe it was much more Zionist and Israeli-oriented. I say this because her whole attitude about being a Jew and the Jewish people seemed to change once she moved down there. She appears to be much more Zionist now than she ever was when she first began LP. She went from being a patriotic American woman to being a Israeli-first Jew who would sell American secrets to Israel at the drop of a hat.

Maybe I'm wrong. I never knew her personally and only knew her by her online persona. Maybe she's always been an Israeli-firster, but I sure don't remember thinking that until after she moved south. Neil or someone else knew her personally so they would have more insight into that part of her.

She was definitely an Israel Firster before (in the eary days of El Pee Neil had to pull one of her hate filled screeds) it just became more obvious and more pronounced as Israel continued to lose support among the posters, and her new job was of the same type she had before - just a different employer. Her real bug with Ron Paul was that he was not prostrate before the Israel Lobby and nad even commented about their undue influence in our government.

She made her in/famous "pali-animals" comment when LP was only about 2 months old. It clearly violated our rules in place at the time and ever since, but being new an this job running a forum, and not expecting my partner on this to have actually posted something like that, I didn't do anything about it. It came back to haunt her and rightly so.

Goldi is a converted Jew. It gives her a purpose in life that she didn't have before and for that.... all I can say is good for her. She did tell me in person once about how Jews were not permitted to charge interest from other Jews, only non-Jews. The more I thought about that, the more "wrong" it is that Jews could do that and not, say, whites. It's obvious how such a policy can work to promote one class of people at the expense of others. As long as that economic principle is an element of the Jewish faith, I can certainly understand anyone having monetary paranoia toward Jews in general. The "Jews can't charge Jews interest" rule is one concrete fact that can justify such paranoia.

Goldi wanted Israel to receive special consideration, and be exempt from criticism normally directed toward countries because Israel is unique in being founded on the basis of faith. I always disagreed with that. Obviously if Israel chose to be a country, then it inherits all the duties of one, including suffering first amendment criticism. She said some people who hate Jews would simply substitute the word "Israel" in place of "Jews". Maybe some would, but we'd have to deal with that on a case by case basis.

But Israel having even footing with all other countries was the policy the entire time I was there. I'm sure it's not the case now, unofficially if not officially, since Goldi has such strong attachments to her faith and through that, Israel itself.

As for Israel, its current inhuman blockade of Gaza, is all by itself an act of war. Israel has proven, just as Goldi proved with her pali-animals comment, that they hate the people of Gaza and want them wiped off the map. And not in the sense that (I understand) Iran's leader referred to with Israel in just eliminating the government and borders. There can be no doubt that Israel wants to wipe the people of Gaza into the sea. And it's a crime of the highest order that they are actively doing that, and a crime of the government of the USA and all other governments that enable Israel in this act of genocide.

One of the times she attacked me I tried conveying the point that Judaism the Religion and Israel the Secular State are not an identity, but she would not respond to the post. I pointed out that the roots of Zionism are simply another branch of Marxism with an ethnic identity but she would not hear that either. While she is entitled to her beliefs I do not have to kow tow to them but that is what she wants.
