"Is Jesus God? In 5 minutes the matter is settled from the Bible - indisputably - irrefutably. Let the Bible speak for itself...Old and New Testament. Hear the words of the Bible, of Jesus himself..."
Jesus was "mocked" by many folks in his day. Jesus was betrayed by Judas. Jesus was crucified for his beliefs. The Bible's account of The life of Jesus is filled with misery and horror. It's a sad tale of a good man, who tried to spread his beliefs to others. Was Jesus "GOD"? I DON'T KNOW.
Personally, I prefer the history and accounts of the life of LORD BUDDHA. Lord Buddha was a son of a King, who gave up his wealth and ezy livin' to just be a "REGULAR GUY". Lord Buddha preferred the "middle ground", a way of life which meant not overindulging, or depriving one self of the basic needs.
The account of Lord Buddha's life is a much more happy one than the life of Jesus. Buddha lived out a full and meaningful happy life. Lord Buddha touched and encouraged good in many of his followers with his simple lifestyle.
Buddhism is based on three simple principles,
1. Abstain from all evils. 2. Do only good. 3. Keep one's mind pure.
NOW, If politicians, and Cops, and everyone followed those three Buddhist beliefs, wouldn't the world be a better place.?

Yes it would....but it wouldn't guarantee eternal life. Furthermore, what is "good"? What someone like Bush or Cheney or Obama considers good, would probably not be what you or I consider good. God said "There are none good, no not one."
Jesus said, "Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. ... bible.cc/matthew/19-17.htm
The Bible sets standards for "good" that benefit us all. You can see that what our leaders decide is "good" will mean enslavement and death for us. I'd rather live by God's standards than their's.
Jesus' life may have seemed sad to you, but it says in Isaiah:
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
As the film says, Jesus is God, and He has such love for us He CHOSE to suffer and die for us, and He is ecstatic when we accept His gift of salvation.

I'm not so quick to feel pity for the myth known as jesus, mainly because I haven't seen any evidence to support any of the biblical claims. For the sake of argument, if we were to go on the premise that the bible was in fact true, the betrayal, mocking, and the death of Jesus would HAVE to happen for prophecy to be fulfilled, which begs the question of whether the offending parties actually had a choice in the matter at all. After all, it was part of "god's plan". The whole thing is one big logical fallacy after another if you try to accept it in part or whole as true.
