100,000 RADIATIONS - A REVIEW

On August 14, at 9 PM, Israeli television station, Channel Ten, broke all convention and exposed the ugliest secret of Israel's Labor Zionist founders; the deliberate mass radiation poisoning of nearly all Sephardi youths.

The expose began with the presentation of a documentary film called, 100,000 Radiations, and concluded with a panel discussion moderated by TV host Dan Margalit, surprising because he is infamous for toeing the establishment line.

Film Details:

100,000 Radiations, released by Dimona Productions Ltd. in 2003.

Producer - Dudi Bergman Directors - Asher Khamias, David Balrosen

Panel Discussion Participants

A Moroccan singer was joined by David Edri, head of the Compensation Committee for Ringworm X-Ray Victims, and Boaz Lev, a spokesman for the Ministry Of Health.

Subject:

In 1951, the director general of the Israeli Health Ministry, Dr. Chaim Sheba flew to America and returned with 7 x-ray machines, supplied to him by the American army.

They were to be used in a mass atomic experiment with an entire generation of Sephardi youths to be used as guinea pigs. Every Sephardi child was to be given 35,000 times the maximum dose of x-rays through his head. For doing so, the American government paid the Israeli government 300,000 Israeli liras a year. The entire Health budget was 60,000 liras. The money paid by the Americans is equivalent to billions of dollars today.

To fool the parents of the victims, the children were taken away on "school trips" and their parents were later told the x-rays were a treatment for the scourge of scalpal ringworm. 6,000 of the children died shortly after their doses were given, the many of the rest developed cancers that killed them over time and are still killing them now. While living, the victims suffered from disorders such as epilepsy, amnesia, Alzheimer's disease, chronic headaches and psychosis.

Yes, that is the subject of the documentary in cold terms. It is another matter to see the victims on the screen. ie. To watch the Moroccan lady describe what getting 35,000 times the dose of allowable x-rays in her head feels like.

"I screamed make the headache go away. Make the headache go away. Make the headache go away. But it never went away."

To watch the bearded man walk hunched down the street.

"I'm in my fifties and everyone thinks I'm in my seventies. I have to stoop when I walk so I won't fall over. They took my youth away with those x-rays."

To watch the old lady who administered the doses to thousands of children.

"They brought them in lines. First their heads were shaved and smeared in burning gel. Then a ball was put between their legs and the children were ordered not to drop it, so they wouldn't move. The children weren't protected over the rest of their bodies. There were no lead vests for them. I was told I was doing good by helping to remove ringworm. If I knew what dangers the children were facing, I would never have cooperated. Never!"

Because the whole body was exposed to the rays, the genetic makeup of the children was often altered, affecting the next generation. We watch the woman with the distorted face explain, "All three of my children have the same cancers my family suffered. Are you going to tell me that's a coincidence?"

Everyone notices that Sephardi women in their fifties today, often have sparse patchy hair, which they try to cover with henna. Most of us assumed it was just a characteristic of Sephardi women. We watch the woman on the screen wearing a baseball-style hat. She places a picture of a lovely young teenager with flowing black hair opposite the lens. "That was me before my treatment. Now look at me." She removes her hat. Even the red henna can't cover the horrifying scarred bald spots.

The majority of the victims were Moroccan because they were the most numerous of the Sephardi immigrants. The generation that was poisoned became the country's perpetual poor and criminal class. It didn't make sense. The Moroccans who fled to France became prosperous and highly educated. The common explanation was that France got the rich, thus smart ones. The real explanation is that every French Moroccan child didn't have his brain cells fried with gamma rays.

The film made it perfectly plain that this operation was no accident. The dangers of x-rays had been known for over forty years. We read the official guidelines for x-ray treatment in 1952.

The maximum dose to be given a child in Israel was .5 rad. There was no mistake made. The children were deliberately poisoned. David Deri, makes the point that only Sephardi children received the x-rays.

"I was in class and the men came to take us on a tour. They asked our names. The Ashkenazi children were told to return to their seats. The dark children were put on the bus."

The film presents a historian who first gives a potted history of the eugenics movement. In a later sound bite, he declares that the ringworm operation was a eugenics program aimed at weeding out the perceived weak strains of society. The film now quotes two noted anti-Sephardi racist Jewish leaders, Nahum Goldmann and Levi Eshkol.

Goldmann spent the Holocaust years first in Switzerland, where he made sure few Jewish refugees were given shelter, then flew to New York to become head of the World Jewish Congress headed by Samuel Bronfman. According to Canadian writer Mordecai Richler, Bronfman had cut a deal with Prime Minister Mackenzie King to prevent the immigration of European Jews to Canada.

But Levi Eshkol's role in the Holocaust was far more minister than merely not saving lives. He was busy taking them instead. From a biography of Levi Eshkol from the Israeli government web site:

"In 1937 Levi Eshkol played a central role in the establishment of the Mekorot Water Company and in this role was instrumental in convincing the German government to allow Jews emigrating to Palestine to take with them some of their assets - mostly in the form of German-made equipment."

While world Jewry was boycotting the Nazi regime in the '30s, the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem was propping up Hitler. A deal, called The Transfer Agreement, was cut whereby the Nazis would chase Germany's Jews to Palestine, and the Labor Zionists would force the immigrants to use their assets to buy only German goods. Once the Jewish Agency got the German Jews it wanted, those they secretly indoctrinated in the anti-Judaism of Shabtai Tzvi and Jacob Frank, they let the Nazis take care of the rest of European Jewry. The Holocaust was a eugenics program and Levi Eshkol played a major role in it.

The Moroccan lady is back on the screen. "It was a Holocaust, a Sephardi Holocaust. And what I want to know is why no one stood up to stop it."

David Deri, on film and then as a panel member, relates the frustration he encountered when trying to find his childhood medical records.

"All I wanted to know was what they did to me. I wanted to know who authorized it. I wanted to trace the chain of command. But the Health Ministry told me my records were missing."

Boaz Lev, the Health Ministry's spokesman chimes in, "Almost all the records were burned in a fire."

So, let us help Mr. Deri trace the chain of command. But now I must intrude myself in the review.

About six years ago, I investigated the kidnapping of some 4500, mostly Yemenite immigrant infants and children, during the early years of the state. I met the leader of the Yemenite children's movement, Rabbi Uzi Meshulum, imprisoned for trying to get the truth out. He was later returned home in a vegetative state from which he has not emerged. He told me that the kidnapped children were sent to America to die cruelly in nuclear experiments.

The American government had banned human testing and needed guinea pigs. The Israeli government agreed to supply the humans in exchange for money and nuclear secrets. The initiator of Israel's nuclear program was Defence Ministry director-general Shimon Peres.

Rabbi David Sevilia of Jerusalem corroborated the crime and later, I even saw photos of the radiation scars on the few surviving children, and the cages the infants were shipped to America in.

Just over five years ago I published my belief on the internet, that Israel's Labor Zionist founders had conducted atomic experiments on Yemenite and other Sephardi children, killing thousands of them. Almost three years ago, I published the same assertion in my last book, Save Israel!. I suffered much scorn for doing so. However, I was right.

We return to the documentary. We are told that a US law in the late '40s put a stop to the human radiation experiments conducted on prisoners, the mentally feeble and the like. The American atomic program needed a new source of human lab rats and the Israeli government supplied it.

Here was the government cabinet at the time of the ringworm atrocities:

Prime Minister - David Ben Gurion Finance Minister - Eliezer Kaplan Settlement Minister - Levi Eshkol Foreign Minister - Moshe Sharrett Health Minister - Yosef Burg Labor Minister - Golda Meir Police Minister - Amos Ben Gurion

The highest ranking non-cabinet post belonged to the Director General Of The Defence Ministry, Shimon Peres.

That a program involving the equivalent of billions of dollars of American government funds should be unknown to the Prime Minister of cash-strapped Israel is ridiculous. Ben Gurion was in on the horrors and undoubtedly chose his son to be Police Minister in case anyone interfered with them.

Now let's have a quick glance at the other plotters, starting with the Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan. He handled the profits of the operation and was rewarded for eternity with a hospital named after him near Rehovot. But he's not alone in this honor.

The racist bigot Chaim Sheba, who ran Ringworm Incorporated, had a whole medical complex named after him. Needless to say, if there is an ounce of decency in the local medical profession, those hospital names will have to change.

Then there is Yosef Burg, who the leaders of the Yemenite Children's movement insist was the most responsible for the kidnappings of their infants. As Health Minister, he certainly played a pivotal role in the Ringworm murders. That would go a great way to explaining the peculiar behavior of his son, the peacemaker, Avraham Burg.

Let us not forget Moshe Sharrett, who had Rabbi Yoel Brand arrested in Aleppo in 1944 for proposing a practical way to save 800,000 Jews trapped in Hungary. Sharrett's most cited quote is, "If Shimon Peres ever enters this government, I will tear my clothes and start to mourn." Several Yemenite Children activists told me Sharrett was referring to the kidnapping of the Yemenite children when he made this statement.

And other amateur historians have told me that Levi Eshkol openly and proudly announced his belief in the tenets of Shabtai Tzvi, but try as I have, I haven't tracked down a citation. However, we do know of Eshkol, that during the period of the radiations, he served first as Settlement Minister, then took over from Kaplan as Finance Minister. From his bio:

"In 1951 Eshkol was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Development, and from 1952 to 1963 - a decade characterized by unprecedented economic growth despite the burden of financing immigrant absorption and the 1956 Sinai Campaign - he served as Minister of Finance. Between 1949 and 1963, Eshkol also served as head of the settlement division of the Jewish Agency. In the first four years of statehood, he was also treasurer of the Jewish Agency, largely responsible for obtaining the funds for the country's development, absorption of the massive waves of immigrants and equipment for the army."

In short, Eshkol was the person most responsible for Israel's immigrants, the ones he sent to radiation torture chambers. Finally, there is Golda Meir. We don't know her role, but she was in on the secret and rewarded for it. Note that every prime minister thereafter until 1977, when the honorable Menachem Begin was elected, came from this cabal. And note also, that no one from what is called the Right today, was privy to the slaughter of the Sephardi children.

Apply that lesson to a contemporary fact: It is the descendants of these butchers who brought us the Oslo "peace" and are determined to wipe out the settlers of Judea, Samaria and Gaza as surely as they had dealt with the inferior dark Jews who came into their clutches fifty years before. Now try and imagine it is 1952 and you are in a cabinet meeting. You will be debating whether to send the Yemenite babies to America for their final zapping, or whether to have them zapped here. That is what the Luciferian, satanic Sabbataian founders of our nation were prattling on about when they got together to discuss the affairs of state.

After the film ended, TV host Dan Margalit tried to put a better face on what he'd witnessed. Any face had to be better than what he had seen. He explained meekly, "But the state was poor. It was a matter of day to day survival." Then he stopped. He knew there was no excusing the atrocities the Sephardi children endured.

But it was the Moroccan singer who summed up the experience best. "It's going to hurt, but the truth has to be told. If not, the wounds will never heal."

There is one person alive who knows the truth and participated in the atrocities. He is Leader Of The Opposition Shimon Peres, the peacemaker. The only way to get to the truth and start the healing is to investigate him for his role in the kidnapping of 4500 Yemenite infants and the mass poisoning of over 100,000 Sephardi children and youths.

But here is why that won't happen. It is a miracle that 100,000 Radiations was broadcast at all. Clearly though, someone fought for it but had to agree to a compromise. The show was aired at the same time as the highest-rated show of the year, the final of Israel's, A Star Is Born. The next day, there was not a word about 100,000 Radiations in any paper, but the newly-born star's photo took up half the front pages.

That's how the truth is buried in Israel, and somehow, these tricks work. The same methods were used to cover up the Rabin assassination.

However, a few hundred thousand people saw the film on their screens and they will never forget the truth. If the Rabin assassination doesn't bury Labor Zionism for good, then 100,000 Radiations eventually will.

I'm getting my first reactions and they are strong. Here are two:

"I've listened to your CDs twice so far, and will do so again. You speak truth. I know that."

"Hi Barry, I have listened to your CD twice now. You need to somehow get this word out. I don't know how. After listening to this, I have more admiration and respect for you than ever. You have managed to put things together in the right perspective. You have broken into something that answers many questions that I have always had. We have to get this word out somehow. If you can think of anything that I can do to help you, please do let me know."

All good Americans must remember two things - first, we are racists if we don't support Israel. Second - this story above is false because it is not broadcast on tv.

But seriously, attempts to murder whole ethnic groups as the Israelis did in 1951 with US help is a very bad thing.

the deliberate mass radiation poisoning of nearly all Sephardi youths.

This was not a deliberate poisoning but at worst careless applied science, much like the "thalidomide babies" of the 1950's. That medical tragedy has been needlessly compounded by Israel's incalcitrance in providing just and reasonable compensation.

The real story is Israel's frankly inexcusable failure to compensate the victim's, not their so-called "deliberate poisoning" in the first place.

So, here's what science "understood" in 1951 regarding radiation therapy:

PRINCIPLES OF IONIZING RADIATION - Chapter 2

Medical uses of machine-produced radiation and radionuclides emitting radiation have also been developed that play a significant role in medical diagnosis and treatment. Controlled amounts of radiation in the form of x rays have been used for a century, and beta particles have used more recently, as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in humans and animals. Today, much is known about the health effects of high doses of x rays, as well as other radiation; however, this has not always been the case. In 1947, doctors in Israel and many other countries treated ringworm of the scalp with up to 400 rad (4 Gy) of x rays to cause the hair to fall out (alopecia); it was later found that this treatment regimen led to a greater than expected incidence of thyroid tumors and brain cancers. Radium-224 (224Ra) was used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis in Germany in the 1940s; these treatments later were associated with an increased incidence of bone cancers. In addition to x rays, radionuclides such as iodine-131 (131I) and metastable technetium 99 (99mTc) are being used to successfully diagnose and/or treat a wide range of diseases. Laboratory research has benefitted from the use of radionuclides, typically in the form of radiolabeled tracers that enabled us to learn the details of the biochemistry of health and disease, and to develop new diagnostic techniques and new (non-radioactive) drugs for treatment of disease. Carbon 11 is a short half-life (20 minutes) radionuclide produced in cyclotrons in conjunction with several medical facilities and used in positron emission tomography (PET) studies that enable physicians to see inside the body and precisely locate sites of medical concern.

And here's what science understands today:

RADIATION INDUCED CANCER IN HUMANS

NO-THRESHOLD FOR RADIATION INDUCED CANCER
Most radiation researchers agree that based on current data there is likely to be no low-dose threshold for cancer. Unlike chemical toxins which when given in sufficiently low doses are detoxified or removed before damage is done, radiation is delivered on the cellular level by high speed electrons that literally crash through the cellular machinery. Many of the lesions that occur are repaired by cellular mechanisms (estimated repair events number 10,000 -24, 000 / cell per day). If, however, a high speed electron, set in motion by a medical X-ray photon, collides with a critical portion of DNA and repair systems are unable to properly undo the damage, a malignancy may result. [UNSCEAR 1993 Rpt, p.634, para.74][NCRP98 draft rpt] Furthermore, even if it is postulated that double track events are required for misrepair -- at any dose, the Poisson distribution insures that some nuclei are hit by more than 1 track at a dose that is calculated to deliver an average of much less than or equal to one track through an average nucleus [i.e. <<750mrad]. As one single track can damage the DNA, there is no theoretical threshold of risk - i.e. As the dose decreases, the only change is in the number of targets struck but at any dose at least one target may be hit and may then generate a lesion leading to malignancy. With reference to adaptive effects, experimental evidence suggests that at least 500 mrad is required and that this results in only a 50% reduction in lesions. Repair mechanisms are therefore unable to fully protect at any dose level. Thus, there is no theoretical basis for belief in a threshold dose below which no sustained damage could occur. [NCRP98]

And here's some background on the victim compensation lawsuits:

Running rings around the victims

Tens of thousands of immigrants underwent radiation against ringworm in the 1940s and `50s. Now, 60 years later, they are still fighting for compensation from the state for illnesses said to be due to the treatment.
By Aryeh Dayan

On the Israeli national agenda, the ringworm affair is in a class with the affairs of the Yemenite children (some of whom were allegedly kidnapped and put up for adoption) and the spraying of new immigrants with DDT. Like those affairs, it is a symbol of the arrogant and alienated attitude of the veteran Ashkenazi (Jews of European origin) establishment in the 1950s toward the new immigrants from the Arab countries. And like those affairs, this one refuses to die away.

Ten years after the legislation of the law that was designed to eliminate the resentment caused by the ringworm affair, it is apparently about to erupt again, and the victims are once again embarking on a battle, claiming that not only does the state pay absurd compensation, but it prevents even that small sum from reaching a large percentage of the victims. Naturally, at the same time there will be a renewal of the bitter debate about the limits of responsibility of the Israeli government for what was defined about 50 years ago as a medical-humanitarian campaign meant to benefit the olim (new immigrants) from the Arab countries, and turned into a terrible humanitarian tragedy.

The government radiation campaign began in the late 1940s, when a fear arose in the country of an outbreak of a plague of ringworm, a skin disease that grows in the roots of the hair and quickly spreads among children who live in crowded conditions, with poor hygiene. The prejudices of the establishment toward the Mizrahi (Jews of North African and Middle Eastern origin) immigrants contributed both to intensifying this fear and to the means used to solve the problem.

The top echelons of the Ministry of Health and the Medical Corps of the Israel Defense Forces decided to begin a comprehensive treatment and prevention campaign, which was to include radioactive treatments of the heads of all the children up to age 15 who had immigrated from Arab countries. In all, about 100,000 children underwent these treatments.

At a certain stage of the campaign, which lasted until 1960, it was also decided to transfer radiation machines to the Jewish Agency transit camps in Marseilles and other places in Europe and to carry out the treatments there, while the children were still in transit from North Africa to Israel. The medical world at the time, even outside Israel, was as yet unaware of the future damage involved in these radiation treatments; the connection between such treatments and cancer and other illnesses was discovered only years later.

Many people have testified that the radiation campaign caused the children serious emotional harm. Without any explanation, they were brought to clinics where the hair on their heads was shaven, the hair that remained was pulled out with hot wax, and the roots were eliminated with x-rays.

The exact number of Israelis who have suffered from various types of cancer because of radiation against ringworm is not known. However, Prof. Baruch Modan, who researched the subject when he was the head of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, discovered over 30 years ago that their number was more than double that in the general population. The treatments caused many other illnesses: sterility, the loss of teeth and hair, and severe and ugly scars on the scalp and on other parts of the body. According to the most recent estimates, tens of thousands of people contracted cancer or other illnesses as a result of the radiation campaign.

Contradictory findings

For decades, the government refused to accept any legal or moral responsibility for the radiation campaign. In 1994, the government changed its position for the first time, and passed a law initiated by MK Amir Peretz, to compensate the victims of ringworm treatments. The law determined moderate financial compensation for anyone who had received radiation treatments against ringworm in his childhood, and as an adult fell ill with severe forms of cancer. By passing the law, the government in effect acknowledged the connection between cancer and the radiation treatments administered by the state.

The two government institutions responsible for implementing the law - the Health Ministry and the National Insurance Institute - have submitted contradictory findings regarding the number of victims who have been recognized as eligible for compensation. The Health Ministry, which is responsible both for determining eligibility and for deciding on the percentage of disability that determines the amount of compensation, says that "about 13,500" people are eligible, and about 13,000 have filed claims. The NII, which is actively responsible for making the payments, says that the number of those eligible is "about 11,000." The Health Ministry also says that about 10,000 requests have been denied and that the discussion of 7,500 additional requests has not yet been concluded. The NII spokesman's office says that as of October 2003, "the NII paid the ringworm victims grants and allowances to the tune of NIS 640 million."

Those who are granted between 5 percent and 39 percent disability are eligible for a one- time grant of NIS 1,218 for each percentage of disability. Those who have over 40 percent disability will receive a monthly allowance in addition to the one- time grant. The grant will be NIS 50,000 if the committee has determined between 40 percent and 74 percent disability, and NIS 100,000 for higher disability. The monthly allowance for those who have been granted 100 percent disability will be 25 percent of the average national salary, i.e. about NIS 1,800; the sum of the allowance will decline with a decline in the percentage of disability.

"That's really minimal compensation, I would even say that it's adding insult to injury," says attorney Yadin Yaron, who represents many ringworm victims. "Anyone with less than 40 percent disability, which includes the vast majority of those receiving compensation, received an almost absurd one-time payment. Only someone who suffers from a brain tumor or from multiple tumors receives over 40 percent." The NII statistics indicate that only 27 percent of those eligible - 3,000 out of 11,000 - have received a regular allowance.

And why were such absurd sums determined? Apparently the state knew how to exploit the fact that the victims of the radiation treatments didn't have much of a chance of winning lawsuits. "Fifteen years ago, before the law was passed, a large group of radiation victims turned to me and asked me to investigate the possibility of filing a suit against the state for medical negligence," says Yaron. "After I checked into the matter, I reached the conclusion that the radiation treatments were carried out according to what was common in the medical world at the time, and that there was no chance of winning a lawsuit based on the claim of negligence. Since I believed that the state nevertheless has a very large moral obligation towards these people, I suggested that they file the lawsuit, and litigate against the state on a moral basis." The legislative process began immediately after the filing of this lawsuit. Its conclusion, in which the low compensation sums were set, put an end to discussion of the lawsuit.

The purpose of the law was to put an end to the resentment caused by the ringworm affair. But judging by a long series of indicators, which have been multiplying in recent months, that didn't happen. An association of the radiation victims is about to embark on a public battle, claiming that the Finance Ministry has for several years been making every effort to reduce the allowances, which are low in any case, and to empty the law of content. Lawyers who are handling the lawsuits of the victims claim that the Health Ministry has given in to the treasury, is causing a significant slowdown in the work of the medical committees discussing the compensation claims, and is placing endless legal and bureaucratic obstacles in the path of the plaintiffs. In labor courts all over the country, which are authorized by law to discuss appeals of the decisions of the medical committees, there has been an increase in the number of those appealing the denial of their claims or the tiny sum allocated to them for compensation.

"During the first years, the law was implemented in a more or less acceptable manner, but since 2000 or 2001, everything has changed for the worse," says Malka Cohen-Gilboa, the lawyer for the Association of Ringworm Radiation Victims. According to the law, those who request compensation must first appear before an "experts' committee" that determines whether there is a direct connection between the person's disease and the radiation treatments he received. "In recent years," says Cohen-Gilboa, "the experts' committees have greatly increased their demands for proof of this connection. In the past they believed those who turned to them. Now they ask them to bring documents and witnesses to prove that they received radiation treatments. The problem is that none of them has documents, and the only witnesses were their parents, who in most cases are no longer alive. "

Someone whose eligibility for compensation is acknowledged by the experts' committee is sent to another committee, a "medical committee," whose job it is to decide on the percentage of disability, which determines the amount of compensation. "Up until three years ago, the percentages of disability were granted very generously, and with greater consideration," says Yaron. "The treasury seems to be applying great pressure on this issue." If in the past about three or four months on the average passed between the time the lawsuit was filed and the time it came up for discussion, complains Yaron, today the process takes about a year and a half.

The institute was not established

In the past, says Yaron, percentages of disability were also granted for scars caused by the radiation treatments, and for spots and other damage to the scalp. Today these things are not taken into consideration. Article 7 of the law determines that the Health Ministry, "will establish a national institute for the study of the subject of ringworm and how to treat it, " whose tasks will include "locating, registering and documenting those who suffered from ringworm and received radiation treatments," and "the establishment of a system for early diagnosis of illnesses to which radiation patients are exposed."

The research by the institute, it was explained when the law was passed, would also deal with discovering the connection between the radiation treatments and other illnesses (aside from cancer), in order to make it possible to add these illnesses to the list of illnesses which entitle people to compensation.

Ten years after the legislation of the law, the institute has yet to be established, and the list of illnesses has never bee expanded. "Several years ago, Nissim Dahan, who was the health minister at the time, signed an order that added benign growths in the thyroid gland to the list of illnesses," says Yaron. "The treasury didn't approve the order. "

Cohen-Gilboa: "In 1974, Professor Modan proved the connection between the radiation treatments and breast cancer, but breast cancer has still not been placed on the list. In the past, percentages of disability were also granted for emotional distress; now that is no longer the case. For years we have been demanding a payment for wigs, which many of us have been forced to use for 50 years. Nothing has been done."

Attorney Zvi Regev, whose Hadera law firm represents dozens of the radiation victims, claims that the plaintiffs are required to appear before the experts' committee without being represented by a lawyer, and are asked tricky questions, for example, whether the radiation treatments hurt. "If the plaintiff gives a positive answer, his request is denied. This question is tricky because the treatments really didn't hurt, but pulling out hair with wax hurt a great deal." He says, "It's not clear how they expect a 60-year-old man who underwent radiation treatments 50 years ago, when he was a child, to make this precise differentiation."

The Health Ministry refused to submit a formal reply regarding the claims, saying that the subject has now been sent to the Supreme Court. A senior official in the ministry, who requested anonymity, said that the ministry and its committees are operating in accordance with the law.

No right to know?

"Had the Health Ministry informed me 15 or 20 years ago that I underwent radiation treatments against ringworm," says Batsheva Gadassi, "maybe I could have saved my life." Gadassi, 54, who recently fell ill with a severe form of cancer, blamed the Health Ministry for not informing her in time of the fact that her name is included in what is called the "Modan file" - a list that was prepared 35 years ago, and includes the names of 12,000 of the approximately 100,000 children who received radiation treatments.

Since the list was compiled, the ministry has refused to warn those whose names are included on it. Gadassi appealed to the Supreme Court with a request to require the ministry to do so. "It won't help me any more," she says, "but I want to save the lives of others."

Gadassi was born in 1950 in Moshav Shtulim, to parents who had come to Israel a year earlier from Yemen. She says that in the summer of 1957 all the children of the moshav were taken to Haifa, on the pretext that they were going to a summer camp. "A large truck picked us up. On the way to Haifa we sang and played happily, but the moment we arrived at the Sha'ar Ha'aliyah camp, near Haifa, the abuse began. They took us into the clinic, smeared some substance on our heads, pulled out all our hair and gave us radiation treatments. We returned home bald and bruised, both physically and emotionally. "

This incident was so traumatic for her, that for decades she erased it from her memory entirely. She remembered it down to the last detail a few months ago, when she went to receive radiation treatments against the cancer that has developed in her throat and that threatens her life. When she filed a lawsuit in the Health Ministry, she discovered for the first time that her name is included in the Modan list.

All the health ministers and all the directors general of the ministry who have served since the list was compiled have opposed the demand to send warnings. Among the opponents was Prof. Baruch Modan himself, who prepared the list and afterwards served as director general in the 1980s. The Health Ministry explains that the Modan file is "a research file only," and there is no certainty that everyone included in it did in fact receive radiation treatments. Sending warnings to all of them is liable "to sow unnecessary panic" without being medically efficacious, because it is doubtful whether anyone will succeed in stopping the development of the cancer. But the ministry insists that the list is not classified: Anyone who asks to know whether his name is included on it, will receive an immediate reply. (A.D.)

Sounds like that pastor reads only very selective passages in Scripture.

On Link Tv's show Spotlight on this topic, the documentary is entitled "The Ringworm Children"

http://www.linktv.org/programming/programDescription.php4?code=ringworm

Here's an overview of the program:

In the early 1950's, approximately 100,000 immigrant children, primarily from North Africa, received X-ray radiation treatment for ringworm upon their arrival in Israel. At the time, the medical establishment thought ringworm a grave danger to public health. It was later discovered that these treatments caused high rates of infertility, cancer and death. This tragic affair was hidden from the public eye for decades… until now. Through exhaustive research and testimonies of survivors, this emotional documentary illustrates how stereotyping immigrants can have horrific consequences.

Spotlight is a weekly series of investigative reports from around the world, introduced by author and Journalist Mark Hertsgaard. Mr. Hertsgaard’s latest book is “The Eagle's Shadow: Why America Fascinates and Infuriates the World."

But 'shame' should be on everyone who is human, and you as christian should know that and accept it rather than resist it.

As a group there are many many christian leaders who will support Israel no matter what. We're not allowed to notice this characteristic of the American christians?

you're right. He should read Revelation 2:9 & Revelation 3:9. If you believe these American christian pastors who lean towards this christian zionist stuff you'll think that Jesus in John's vision that is Revelation was a klansman. I don't go along with that. I think that there are many today who call themselves jew, but are really in the synagogue of satan.

I see Starwind defending the practice of poisoning some people because it is only done to a select ethnic group. Yes, all those it was done to were the non-european jews. These people sufferred when Israeli terrorists went to their countries and committed terrorist acts to flush them into Israel. And then they were persecuted again once in Israel.

Starwind will deny it, but Israeli terrorists set off bombs in Egypt, Iraq and elsewhere. Law enforcement people in those countries even caught some of the terrorists. And Israel had to admit that these terrorists belonged to them. They had to in order to get the terrorist back.

I say there's no excuse for this behavior. god does allow bad things to happen to good people. God does allow evil to prevail in this world. But let us not confuse evil for good.

BTW Are you ever going to tell us if you think Muslims worship the devil?

Starwind won't answer. But I'll butt in my opinion.

I'm not muslim. I'm typical christian. I think the bible is true word of god. I think koran is cheap imitation. I think muslim is false religion. There may be evil spirits among the muslims and even directing the muslim religion. But same is true for the christians.

Many muslims are fine pious people and deserve respect. We should be their friends.

bible says that god and god alone will judge us. the standards he uses are his, not ours'. We don't know those standards. We are fools to presume that muslims will be judged badly just because they're muslim. But bible does have passages in it talking about how people have consciences, consciences made by god. And that even people outside the community of believers (christians say this is them) will be judged positively by god, be given ever-lasting life, just because they're loyal to the consciences that god gave them.

Many American christians are pharisee hypocrites, and not loyal at all to consciences god gave them.

As to your specific question, do they worship satan? I won't judge, I don't know. Some do I'm sure. But do some worship same god as me? Possibly so. God is a spirit, not a ceremony. George Bush is both christian and satanist. Why can't some Muslims also worship satan?

Well, you're certainly right in that you didn't say "blame", but your exact words again were:

and the pastor told us that whatever punishment was doled out to the palestinians by the israelis was the judgement of god. and I say shame on the christians.

And the implication is "the christians" (seemingly all of them without qualification by you) should have shame on them because your pastor taught you falsely?

Certainly not. The shame is on your pastor for his false teaching, not on christians in general for what he did. Jesus will hold him accountable for his teaching.

As a group there are many many christian leaders who will support Israel no matter what.

If you define the group as "christian leaders who support Israel no matter what", then obviously you have a self-fulfilling definition.

We're not allowed to notice this characteristic of the American christians?

And now you've shifted from "christian leaders who support Israel no matter what" to "American christians". Is it your contention these are identical groups? That all christians in America are also leaders who also support Israel no matter what, and should be further ashamed for what your pastor mistakenly preached to you?

George Bush is both christian and satanist.

Do you have evidence that Bush worships Satan?

Aside from clear and convincing evidence, the sort that would never reach the media in the first place, I'll have to go with his assertation that he's a Christian. A warmongering Christian? Yes. A petty, feebleminded Christian? Yes again. A self-serving, glad-handing, nepotistic Christian? Yes, yes, and yes.

But just because a Christian does some bad things or acts like a jerk, it doesn't mean they get kicked out of the club. Or am I misinterpreting your religion?

PS: I doubt that many of his objectionable actions were even his idea. I think he's just along for the ride. A proper Satanist, now, is a lot more clever.

yes, we all do. Bush has publicly acknowledged being part of Skull & Bones. Over 100 years ago a book came out telling that Skull & Bones is a satan worship outfit. Their initiation ceremony has been described in detail both 100 years ago and in recent times. They do satan worship stuff, they say satan worship stuff. It is plain & simple. Bush is with them. He won't denounce skull & bones, he acknowledges membership. And a bunch of books have pegged that group for what it is. People have come out of skull & bones and talked about it, that is why the books were written.

Why Christians Should Not for George W. Bush

Excerpt:

Not every person who professes to be a Christian is one. Faith without works, without tangible deeds of obedience, is dead faith – it is the faith of devils. (James 2:10-24) Jesus asks, “Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46) “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:16-20) If the fruit is evil, then the tree is evil. Jesus calls us to make these judgments. “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment,” said Christ in John 7:24. If we gullibly embrace every profession of faith in spite of evidence to the contrary, we will never be able to distinguish the sheep from the “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” (Matthew 7:15)

George W. Bush professes to be a Christian, goes to church, makes references to Bible verses, and says, “God bless America,” but so did Bill Clinton, so this alone cannot be sufficient to win the vote of Christian conservatives. Like Clinton, George Bush’s fruit was evident to all with eyes to see during his campaign against Gore. Many Christians were undoubtedly innocently ignorant of George W. Bush’s liberal tendencies and therefore easily susceptible to his conservative rhetoric, but far too many were willfully blind to his bad fruit. Pragmatism took precedence over God’s Word and the principles of conservatism when conservatives the nation over supported and voted for the most electable candidate over the only blessable, anointable candidate, and as you will see in the course of this article, the roots of tyranny have deepened in America as a result. The guilt for the daily encroachment on God-given rights to life, liberty, and property, under President Bush’s leadership, can be laid squarely at the foot of the professing church. If there was ever any doubt about the liberal sway of George W. Bush before his Presidency, that doubt should be well cleared up by now for all but only the willfully naïve.

His closest advisors, however, do seem to be holding to some evil plan for world domination, but I'm not willing to claim they even believe in satan, much less worship such a thing. I have to agree with Red, there is definitely some occult dogma attached to groups like Skull and Bones, which was also involved in Opium War, British loyalists in Connecticutt, go figure.

Seems to me he was heavily involved in Guns for Cocaine trade in the 80's.He became rather upset with the Christic Foundation when they began the disclosure in the 80's. Dennis Kucinich has a staff member that represented this group in the courts, and was said to have sold the group out.

Hey even satan quoted God's word: Genesis 3:1, quote Psalm 91 when Jesus was in the wilderness and satan tried to tempt him Matthew 4:5 and when Jesus confronted the demons they were in fear of Him Luke 8:27 - 33. And in James 2:19 says:

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.

So quoting scripture and believing and knowing there is a God and Jesus is the son of God doesnt make one a Christian. Just as what you quoted said, by their fruit ye shall know them.

Gen. 3:1) and he quoted Psalm 91 when he tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness (Matt. 4:6). Whenever Jesus confronted demons, they were afraid of him (Luke 8:27-33), and James 2:19 says, "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." James 2:19
