Well the ambiguity of the question of course hinges upon in which sense it is intended.

Is "fucked" an entity thus a noun, an action or state of being and thus a verb, or a modifier (adjective) and thus modifying the meaning of people.

So, in order to discuss it the ambiguity needs to be resolved.

I had MD once- it tasted like they had put grape jam and everclear into a blender and let'er rip.

Back in the collegiate days, we had parties where we'd get a new fifty gallon tub, and then everyone would bring 'something' to add to the mix. The very worst of those brews were much better that Mogen David on its best day.

In the islands we had a large tub, prolly stolen, those that had hard likker contributed, then we stirred it with dirty old broom handle, drank from mess kit tin cups, soon you never heard so much weeping and wailing in your life.

A few would fall off the balcony, others relieve themselves there. Next day would have to send out scouting parties looking for lost souls.

So much for post-war inflation. By the time I was stationed overseas it was about 6 bucks for a half gallon of Smirnoff, although 151 Bacardi was 7.75. My favorite Cognac was about 11 bucks a fifth.

I'll bet. Even then the cost of a bottle of hootch was mostly State and Federal taxes. Take off the taxes and you cut the price by 75%.

I never drank much on base. Usually I was off base hiding out somewhere away from the hoi polloi. Although I do remember a Sake Party, at least I think I remember it. I think I must have had a gyroscope in one of my pockets as that is the only thing that I can think of that could have kept me on my feet.

That's a good thing about marrying in to a full-bird colonel in the USAF's family.

The wife was as much a part of the promotion process as was he, and how he did his assignment.

She had to entertain, and entertain very well, and that that meant a fully stocked bar and a bar tender at big get-togethers.

Thirty-two years later, we still have a lady who worked at Bergstrom AFB, back in the late forties, to tend our bar needs at Christmas parties.

There is a lot screwed up with the military today, but back then, lasting relationships were formed to last.
