I found Mickey at the last animal shelter I looked. Somebody had already adopted him. They have kids, other dogs, and a fenced-in yard. So I let him go. I could have kept him, but decided he'd be happier with this family. He was hysterical when he saw me, so I took him for a walk and said he had a new family now. He'll forget about me. Besides, the pug rescue has 20 pugs that need homes, so I'll get another one from them. I only had Mickey four months and wasn't that attached to him, not like Norman.

Good for both you and Mickey.
I told them he eats birds and chases cats and rabbits, and that he can run faster than they can.
Good news for all involved. The longer we have our critters, the larger the part of our heart they steal.

That's actually a dominance thing. Mickey did it all the time to other pugs, much to my embarrasment when there were seven people around and I had to explain what it was.
