"If, from the more wretched parts of the old world, we look at those which are in an advanced stage of improvement, we still find the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry, and grasping the spoil of the multitude. Invention is continually exercised, to furnish new pretenses for revenues and taxation. It watches prosperity as its prey and permits none to escape without tribute." --Thomas Paine, Rights of Man, 1791
I could only take four minutes of this criminal activity.
Then you missed where they arrested her daughter for trying to help her injured mother.

Has anyone a clue as to what prompted the original body-slam?
Yes, she was walking around the parking lot with a knife. The female cop grabbed the hand with the knife swinging the old lady around and slamming her to the ground cracking her skull open. I hope the family sues and I hope the guy got his video on the news. I'm surprised no one screamed racism as the cops were white and the lady black. The tone of the audio suggested this was standard for the police force though.

If you review the footage, it is important to see the old lady laying under a cop with blood about her neck and head.
But, moreover it is far more important to review all the people yelling and screaming at the cop for his transaction. Instead of picking up the old ladies walking stick and clubbing the mutherfucker to death, they just let him do his thing as a fascist pig.
This is what is great in America. People scream and carry on about tyranny but don't do anything to change the course of events. It is somewhat similar to the recent Tea-Baggers.
Yeah I think the lady cop did but their actions were unjustified in my book. Take a little more time to defuse and talk her down. Her daughter was there. Slamming her to the ground was over reaction at best.

Did you notice the Wal-Mart Greeter didn't appear anywhere? Publick relations by these guys are getting pretty damned poor.
I saw their security there though. I recently got into it with a security guard at a store. He was hurting a young man and mama doesn't like that.

There was a time, back in the day, when the response was proportionate to the threat.
Exactly and that is what is seriously lacking these days. This shoot first ask questions later mentality has got to go.
