Resistance See other Resistance Articles Title: Same health plan by Bush or Obama: Americans would trust Bush’s more / Obama lacks Bush’s Dedication to Life Americans, and especially the senior citizens, are so solidly up in arms over the proposed Obama health plan and so opposed to certain sections of it (the End-of-Life panels) that the bill is struggling in the swamp waters. Its About Trust This is an issue of TRUST. The American people do not trust Obama or the direction that his presidency is taking us. A lot of details go into this lack of trust, one of which is his failure to provide the documentation that all other candidates for office must serve up. Add to this that Obama has been caught in a number of lies over whether he does or does not support/want a single payer health plan. Video here in this blog has shown him contradicting himself and it is only a small sample of the proof that exists out there, and especially on YouTube. From this and other examples, such as not really knowing Rod Blagojevich, we score Obama LOW on the Truthfulness Scale. Obamas lack of dedication to LIFE, his refusal to see life as sacred And then there is his his lack of dedication to LIFE, his refusal to see life as sacred. He is pro-choice, he has spoken of giving grandma pain abatement sessions rather than a pacemaker, and he has been duplicitous in these actions, saying one thing, doing another. He is a pragmatist and specifically in the case of health are, he has already informed us of his plans to keep the cost of it down. What if it were George W. Bush proposing this health plan? I ask myself: What if it were George W. Bush proposing this health plan? Would Americans have the same level of suspicion above and beyond the usual resistance to change? I think not. I think that from all that we know of George W. Bush, his instinct is pro-life. His stand on stem cells might be the strongest case for him not ever setting seniors up for a fast track to the end of life. Many disagree with his stand on stem-cell research, but they cannot deny that it shows him to be solidly for the unborn, and solidly for life, even at the expense of losing politically. So, answering my own question, I would say that Yes, Americans and Senior Citizens would feel a higher level of trust that under George W. Bushs plan, they and their loved ones would be protected and that he would ensure that no future administration could alter the rules. Barack Obama would throw them under the bus the same way he tossed his grandmother under it.
