This is an interesting story I think we should pay extra special attention to: There's an organization of law enforcement and military personnel banding together under the common cause of liberty and the Constitution called Oathkeepers. It's mission is to inform our police officers, soldiers, sheriffs, and all local and state government officials of the true meaning of the oaths they took to protect the Constitution of the United States. It looks to me like an excellent cause.
If the leo's took the oath seriously how could they follow many of the orders they receive and enforce many un constitutional laws?
Many of them don't, that's why they are the mission field for most of the Oathkeepers. The vast majority of us are former military. For all the talk of being mindless killing machines, police are much more so than military guys are. Bitching and insubordination are classic military behaviors, and a lot of military guys develop authority problems, myself included. We have low tolerances for bulls**t and we can mostly see right through pompous asses.
The police are who we have to convert, no doubt about it.
