We presume black paint and nocturnal movement is to remain hidden, but we really don't know if they have black paint or why night travel is preferred. Maybe they don't want to get a sunburn. : )
What makes you think it's paint? Could very well be the color of the material used to construct the craft...

That "ufo" has elevators and vertical stabilizers on it. It's either a fake, a smaller model than what it appears, or the latest military (VTOL) technology. Think harrier jumpjet. Whatever it is, aliens don't need lights at night.

I always like to see ufos with regulation lighting. It demonstrates that they respect the flight regulations enough to seek out what the regulations are and take the necessary stepsŒ79; to meet the requirements prior to entering earth's airspace. It is very considerate of them don't you think.?
