If all the atheists left America, ideologically we’d be back to the principals of the Founding Fathers.

Atheism/agnostic beliefs (or lack thereof) do not exclude a belief in the founding principles of this nation. We are not and have never been a theocracy. Americans can firmly advocate and believe in the freedom of man without having to subscribe to a religion. One can also fully understand and appreciate religion's role in society without having to condemn it, as an atheist or agnostic.

That said, there are an awful lot of atheists and agnostics who are total dick-cheeses, and many do fall on the statist side of the spectrum. But as is true with anything regarding people and groups, you have to judge each individual in his or her own merits.

We are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights.....

We make this constitution to secure the blessing......

Actually they do. Quit being PC.

No, they don't. You're inventing a demon in order to whip it on a pole.

In essence, you're looking to make enemies where there are some friends. Is there nothing more pressing right now than trying to cull out liberty loving people who don't believe in your god? You need all the help you can get right now. If you truly believe that there are no founding father admiring liberty loving agnostics or atheists, that informs me that you're out of touch and need to expand your acquaintances in the world.

Assuming, of course, that you're for liberty as defined by the age of Reason and the Founding Fathers I mean (I honestly don't know).

No actually I am just posting an article. One I happen to mostly agree with. There is no doubt that the politics in the country would change for the better if there were no more atheists. That is not an opinion but a fact.

No, it's an opinion being presented as a fact, based on false assumptions and pre-made demons ready for whipping.

I'm sorry, but it's an ignorant, narrow, small minded and rather absurd view for the author to take.

There's no further need to argue about this, since there's nothing to debate. One cannot force people to learn after all. I know for a fact I'm right on this, having experience of knowing many agnostics/atheists who believe strongly in the principles of the founders, so the article is de facto a dead letter.

Cheers

I know. I'm also entitled to my experience.

I can only judge people based on their individual actions and words, and how well they align the two. Collective judgments just don't work.

Hope your day goes well.
