(by Palo) I woke up this morning and found this email in my Inbox from an LP poster
He must have read it on a site which gives updates on fixing LP
I seem to remember in his first email, he said "bookmark this link Palo"
but I didn't
He is very nice to copy the updates and email them to me as they appear
It now looks like very good chance LP will be up on Friday evening (tonight)
I will copy the email below
Many LP posters have discovered they prefer 4um and will stay here
Many discovered they like 4um and now want to be on both
Whatever preference anyone has
here is the latest update about LP

The Liberty Post server is offline due to hardware problems.

Repair/upgrade parts for the Liberty Post server have been installed and configured. The article database has been repaired and is undergoing testing. (Initial appearance is that database repair has been successful, but more testing is required to confirm.)

If everything checks out, Liberty Post should be back online by Friday evening, 8/21/2009.

Further updates will be reported as more information becomes available.

Some posters couldn't wait to hop on LP and talk smack about 4um, despite all the hospitality they received here over the past ten days. Since you are so sweet that you make even honey jealous, I'm sure you'll put in a good word for all the good folks who post here at 4um.

I appreciate them
I will wait to return to LP
I am comfortable here right now
maybe tomorrow morning I will click on LP
I think after this two weeks when we (from LP) were all over here
it is clear we are sister forums
most LP posters seemed happy and comfortable here
some decided to stay, they like it better than LP
(you got some of our top posters)
some said now they want to be on both forums
and I bet there were lurkers from LP too
both forums have virtues
4um is a little quieter and more intimate
I have been so happy posting here
I totally enjoyed the change, and getting to know all your posters who I didn't already know
also some of the threads were so funnnnny to read
everyone's sense of humor kicked in big time
I had a lot of fun reading those threads
maybe smaller forums are more conducive to fun
I can't remember last time we had fun thread on LP

I think that was prior to all the Ron Paul fans getting banned. We had some great threads then that were so much fun. The partisan bickering, insults and personal attacks on LP get rather tiresome, not to mention all the banning for infractions that are within the forum's stated guidelines. That gets on my nerves too.

Posters here will be happy to see you on a more regular basis, Palo, especially me. We chat often on LP, but I haven't been hanging out there too much even prior to this recent banning and shut down. All but one of the 4um posters always say the nicest things about you.

I have too much tenderness for some of the posters on LP to want to leave it now
there is one poster, I can't remember his name, I never hear from him except when he posts an article about a wondrous event
which will take place in the sky that night
like a very special eclipse
He posts his article, pings me to it, and I never hear from him again
he doesn't even go on his own thread
but I am so touched he thinks about me
also I love to tease byeltsin
I am very fond of him
plus there were posters who tortured me to death when I was posting Ron Paul articles all the time before the primaries
but when Sarah Palin came along, we both worked closely for her
(and to prevent Obama from winning White House)
I once read in a French novel, the author said
"when 2 countries have been to war with each other, they become best friends afterwards"
maybe this is true?
it certainly is true with the posters who made war on me when I was for Ron Paul
plus they were mad at me because I don't support the war on terror or any of the wars

but we both believed letting Obama and the Dems win in this past election
would be very dangerous to our country
we worked as hard as we could to save our country
and we love each other now
(I understand most 3rd party posters don't believe it makes any difference who won this past election,
maybe only he and I did ?)

so you understand my darling beloved friend
that for the time being LP remains my home
but no one knows what the future holds
LP could plotz, and we'd all make 4um our new home
I had a totally lovely experience here this past two weeks
I am so grateful
