(by Palo) I woke up this morning and found this email in my Inbox from an LP poster The Liberty Post server is offline due to hardware problems. Repair/upgrade parts for the Liberty Post server have been installed and configured. The article database has been repaired and is undergoing testing. (Initial appearance is that database repair has been successful, but more testing is required to confirm.) If everything checks out, Liberty Post should be back online by Friday evening, 8/21/2009. Further updates will be reported as more information becomes available.
He must have read it on a site which gives updates on fixing LP
I seem to remember in his first email, he said "bookmark this link Palo"

He is very nice to copy the updates and email them to me as they appear

I was busy in 2001 and 2, not a lot of time for posting on internet forums. I realize that this is likely not a new situation. I simply find it quite funny that the same group that claims the first amendment as their sole property no longer finds protesting and dissent and speaking truth to power all that palatable.

I think that was prior to all the Ron Paul fans getting banned. We had some great threads then that were so much fun. The partisan bickering, insults and personal attacks on LP get rather tiresome, not to mention all the banning for infractions that are within the forum's stated guidelines. That gets on my nerves too. Posters here will be happy to see you on a more regular basis, Palo, especially me. We chat often on LP, but I haven't been hanging out there too much even prior to this recent banning and shut down. All but one of the 4um posters always say the nicest things about you. When the American followers are finally told that communitarianism is their new political and justice system, their assigned Borg leaders will make sure everyone reaches consensus and agrees that it's a "good" thing. Hegelians don't care what the issues are. Neither do they care which "side" they are perceived to be on. All unenlightened sheep are to be kept locked inside very publicized dialectical conflicts of opposites. Only the unseen, enlightened few understand the actual goal of all the conflicts. The most useful idiots are the ones who believe their side is the side that cares oh so much more about "people" than the other side. Completely brainwashed Hegelian thinkers go so far as to believe they are born smarter than the other side, with many convinced they were chosen by God himself to rule over all of mankind, forever. I think after this two weeks when we (from LP) were all over here
it is clear we are sister forums
most LP posters seemed happy and comfortable here
some decided to stay, they like it better than LP
(you got some of our top posters)
some said now they want to be on both forums
and I bet there were lurkers from LP too
both forums have virtues
4um is a little quieter and more intimate
I have been so happy posting here
I totally enjoyed the change, and getting to know all your posters who I didn't already know
also some of the threads were so funnnnny to read
everyone's sense of humor kicked in big time
I had a lot of fun reading those threads
maybe smaller forums are more conducive to fun

I have too much tenderness for some of the posters on LP to want to leave it now
there is one poster, I can't remember his name, I never hear from him except when he posts an article about a wondrous event
which will take place in the sky that night
like a very special eclipse
He posts his article, pings me to it, and I never hear from him again
he doesn't even go on his own thread
but I am so touched he thinks about me
also I love to tease byeltsin
I am very fond of him
plus there were posters who tortured me to death when I was posting Ron Paul articles all the time before the primaries
but when Sarah Palin came along, we both worked closely for her
(and to prevent Obama from winning White House)
I once read in a French novel, the author said
"when 2 countries have been to war with each other, they become best friends afterwards"
maybe this is true?
it certainly is true with the posters who made war on me when I was for Ron Paul
plus they were mad at me because I don't support the war on terror or any of the wars
would be very dangerous to our country
we worked as hard as we could to save our country
and we love each other now
(I understand most 3rd party posters don't believe it makes any difference who won this past election,
maybe only he and I did ?)
that for the time being LP remains my home
but no one knows what the future holds
LP could plotz, and we'd all make 4um our new home

we in USA demonstrated people do not need a king, we can rule ourselves
(Greece and Turkey, India and Pakistan, etc. etc.)
but here in USA, everyone no matter which country they came from, co-mingles on street corners, churches, MacDonalds, supermarkets, etc
we were all sitting on couch in front of fireplace my second year in Tucson
He was Hindu and he started to work himself up in a rage about Muslims
and then all of sudden, like waking from a dream, he said
"hey I am in USA I don't have to do that anymore"
and let his grievances go
