God must really have a thing for hot right-wing politicians with questionable grips on reality and nothing but pure Jesus love in their hearts.

HE is always trying to tempt them with his "higher callings" and cryptic messages from heaven above. First it was devoted servant of the lord Sarah Palin who was forced to resign as governor of Alaska to pursue her higher calling of becoming Queen of the Facebooks and head ruler of Twitterland. What can you do when it's God's will?

But taking our sweet Alaskan bunny out of the political arena a year and a half before her term ended wasn't enough to satisfy Mr. Fickle Creator of the Universe.

Now he's got his sights on Minnesota's own crazy lady Representative Michele Bachmann, a remarkable women who "began her political career simply, as a Christian mom concerned about the content of school papers her children brought home in their backpacks, but today has become one of the leading defenders of liberty and conservative principles on Capitol Hill."

Well Minnesota's own Virgin Mary Michele Bachmann may just be gearing up to show her true freedom-defending color (white) to the world as a possible GOP presidential candidate in 2012--if a certain special someone wants her to that is.

"If I felt that’s what the Lord was calling me to do, I would do it. When I have sensed that the Lord is calling me to do something, I’ve said yes to it. But I will not seek a higher office if God is not calling me to do it. That’s really my standard. If I am called to serve in that realm I would serve. But if I am not called, I wouldn’t do it."

What is God waiting for? Did HE forget? Lose his voice from coaching Sarah? Perhaps it's some kind of test? Why else would God deny the world the guiding light that is Michele Bachmann? He did it for George W. Bush--with spectacular results! Besides, this wouldn't be the first time Dear Savior called upon Michele to run for public office.

"...God then called me to run for the United States Congress. And I thought, 'what in the world would that be for?' And my husband said, 'You need to do this,' and I wasn't so sure. And we took three days and we fasted and we prayed, and we said, 'Lord is this what You want? Is this Your will?' And He made that calling sure. And it's been now 22 months that I've been running for United States Congress. Who in their right mind would spent two years to run for a job that lasts for two years? You'd have to be absolutely a fool to do that. You are now looking at a fool for Christ. This is a fool for Christ."

Well, at least she got one part right.

This writer has a clear problem with someone's Faith, which shows he is nothing more then an Asshat.. next..

atheists think those of us who believe in God are fools

I have nothing against atheists, I used to be one
until I discovered God is real
and what an amazing source of help
I am so lucky

lol now the way I see atheists is, they are like someone where a huge banquet is laid out for them
but they don't see it
and are nibbling on stale crust of bread instead
and complain of hunger pangs
and call the world "cruel"

but what does it matter, the banquet is always being served them
and one day they will open their eyes, in their own time and in their own way
and be overjoyed and grateful
and feast to their heart's content

Love, Palo

Nicely put, Palo...

And even though they're nibbling on the stale bread, WHO BAKED THE BREAD??

of course you are right, cookie
without God there is no life
atheists believe they created themselves
I was an atheist till I was 40, it is lonely
I like having God in my life now
but I do truly believe, each one finds God at exactly the right time for them
and it is a big happiness when it happens
I love you

Wow...I'd have figured you'd have seen and felt God long ago...But then there are mental obstacles and blocks. Since you're very open person that was a door you needed explore - I'm happy for you.... I am in awe of God's creation; How unimaginably awesome will His Heavenly Kingdom be?

LOL I guess I am stubborn minded if it took me 6 million years plus 40 years to find my way back to God
but now God is my whole life
I do think a lot (during the commercials on the TV, when I have it muted) about what Heaven is like
I believe it is the natural home God created for us
where we live before we came to earth and where we return to afterwards

I once read a very odd book
an English parson who had arrived in Heaven
asked Jesus for permission to communicate to his friend back in the world what Heaven is like
Jesus gave him permission
so I guess the book I read is what his friend took down

it was mainly about his first few weeks in Heaven
the day he arrived etc
he said the house he was given to live in was identical to the house he had back home
but every addition and improvement he had ever dreamed of, was made
also the lawn did not need to be mowed

since this is the only concrete info I ever read about Heaven
I thought about what I wanted for my house
I want my back lawn to open up to a lagoon
with a canoe or raft big enough for all my animals to go on with me, all the dogs and cats I ever had
and I thought it would be nice to drift down all the streams of Heaven with my animals, and explore Heaven that way
LOL it seems totally normal to think this way when the commercial on TV is muted and my head is on my pillow
but I guess I sound like a crackpot posting it on 4um
obviously I like lagoons :)
Love, Palo

PS the parson also described Jesus' house, he had to go there to ask permission
I don't remember the inside of the house, I remember the parson said Jesus had white roses growing in his garden
of course an Englishman would notice the flowers, the English love flowers
but I still think I want pink roses in my garden

In heaven, I believe that you both will have the flowers of your choice.

I could be wrong, but, I don't think so.

PS, ya know Loddy when I read the parson said "Jesus told him the white rose is his favorite"
at first (even tho pink roses have always been my favorite since I was a little girl)
I thought I would switch to white roses for my garden in Heaven too
as who of us does not love Jesus with all our hearts
how could I not want what he likes best
LOL I went back and forth about this for 2 days
and finally decided on pink, it is my favorite
I want lilac trees too, their scent is divine
and water lilies in my lagoon :)
I love you
Palo

I'm just a normal mullet, saved by Grace,

who tries to treat others, as I would have them treat me.

I have to keep it really, really, simple here, Palo Verde.

Christ gave us only two Commandments:

Love the Lord, thy God, with all your heart, mind, and soul, and the second is like unto it:

Love thy neighbor, as thyself.

Just two simple rules that could replace the bazillion of laws, statutes, and regulations that we we now face, and endure.
