Palin won't show at fundraiser, denies accepting invitation TONIGHT: Spokeswoman says ex-governor was never asked. By SEAN COCKERHAM and ERIKA BOLSTAD Organizers of an Anchorage event that has been billing Sarah Palin for weeks as a star speaker were left scrambling Wednesday after learning that the former governor won't be there for tonight's event and claims to have never been asked. It would be at least the fourth time in recent months that an anticipated Palin speech has fallen through after Palin and her camp disputed they had ever confirmed it. That includes the brouhaha over whether she'd speak at the annual congressional Republican fundraising dinner in Washington, D.C., this summer. This time it's an event promoting an Alaska ballot measure aimed at making it illegal for teens to get an abortion without telling their parents. The Alaska Family Council has been advertising that Palin would give a speech and become the first official signer of the ballot petition tonight at ChangePoint, the Anchorage megachurch.

Media reports in the last 24 hours have quoted the Governor’s spokeswoman as saying that Mrs. Palin never committed to attend the event, and that she will not be present this evening. We have been in regular communications with the Governor’s staff over the last several weeks. We were assured that Governor Palin was personally aware of this evening’s event, and that she twice confirmed her intent to participate. We look forward to Governor Palin honoring her commitment to attend, and we appreciate her public support of our effort to pass this important voter initiative to protect the rights of parents and the health of teenage girls. So which is it? Is she just a liar, or a totally clueless dingbat. Either way, I can see why she'd appeal to you.
The fact that both parties attack her shows how much she appeals to Americans. She'd be a better President that the dull-witted, imcompetent Bush and the leftist POS Barry Soetero.
Both? I never have liked the woman. The intent of her being picked for the VP run was totally transparent.
What makes you think she'd show up for the job?
Well I think Palin is just barely smart enough not to be retarded, but this might not be her fault. The people organizing this thing might not be telling the truth, or might have gotten mixed up. Why is this even an issue?
Why the hate for Sarah?
Many of the Palin haters here have a problem with females.
I think that Sara is the only genuine person in US national politics. All the rest are elite two-faced power hungry liars. I don’t like her stance in Israel – but at this time what other choice does she have. I think she is being attack from all sides because the Jews do not really trust her. That is just a feeling that I have.
Check the horizon, there is NO ONE for the future of this country other than Palin and Bachmann. If either or both would dump the party, become representatives for Americans, we would have at least a glimmer of hope, something to work for and someone to vote for, even if they are foregone losers. After Ron Paul I personally will not support of vote for any ruling party member. They must denounce the entire corrupt system, no halfway measures, that wont wash after Paul took a dive.
