i'd never heard about this priest until about a year or so ago, he was featured in an article in the WANDERER Catholic newspaper which was covering the ron paul campaign etc. i then learned that my grandpa, who was from Italy, was a fan of Fr Coughlin. That was nice to learn in retrospect, since i never discussed politics with him when he was alive.

cool ;)
(my paternal grandparents were from Sicily, so i'm half Sicilian)
cool, I didn't know you were Sicilian/Italian/. I also had to look up the history of Siciliy to find out they used to be independent and are now considered an "autonomous region of Italy, which I assume is the equivalent of puerto rico, etc to the US?
Sicily is today an autonomous region of Italy. Of all the regions of Italy, Sicily is the one that covers the largest land area at 25,708 square kilometres (9,926 sq mi) and currently has just over five million inhabitants.
