We long time Ron Paul supporters got used to the typical underhanded attacks “our” candidate received during his Presidential bid. They became predictable and passé. Now that Rand Paul has proven he is a viable candidate in the 2010 Senatorial race in Kentucky similar attacks have begun.

With Ron Paul many of the attacks were leveled by the media itself. We even published a rather popular satire piece during the campaign called “The Official Media Guide To Attacking Ron Paul“.

Thus far with Rand Paul, most of the attacks are coming from the Left and the neo-conservative establishment friends of his Republican primary opponent Trey Grayson. The attacks themselves are quite typical.

The Left enjoys pointing out that white supremacist organizations have noticed Rand Paul’s campaign and support him. They like to point out that such extreme groups and individuals supporting Paul means that Paul himself somehow condones such beliefs. This is ludicrous. Guilt by association attacks are for the feeble-minded. No one, not even the Left’s Messiah Obama can control who chooses to support him.

Extremists like Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan both support Obama, but I don’t attack Obama because of it. Even though a much stronger case could be made for doing so due to the fact that Wright was Obama’s pastor and mentor for 20 years or so.

Believing in individual liberty and white supremacy are impossible bedfellows. Attacking Rand Paul this way tells us more about the attacker than the attacked.

The attacks from his own party are right out of the political attack playbook. What makes it humorous this time is that the charges against Rand Paul suggesting he isn’t a “real Republican” could be more easily made against his opponent. Trey Grayson used to be a Democrat and campaigned for Bill Clinton in the 90’s. At that time Rand Paul was busy founding an anti-tax group in Kentucky.

Grayson is to the left of George W. Bush and John McCain, two names that don’t exactly warm conservative Republicans hearts. Rand Paul is more like a Goldwater/Reagan Republican. He actually talks about term limits, cutting spending, and having a balanced budget. He doesn’t just deliver sound bites about lower taxes. Here is his excellent speech at a recent fund raiser in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

I’ll let you be the judge on which candidate is the “real” Republican.

As Rand Paul raises more and more money he will be attacked more and more. In today’s political climate being an establishment politician is more of a negative than in days past. To further illustrate the status quo vs. the anti-establishment fight another money bomb for Rand Paul has been scheduled. The money bomb will be held on the same day that Trey Grayson is having a $500 per plate fund raiser provided by his establishment GOP friends in DC.

On September 23rd, it is the KentuckyFight.com money bomb, also known as the “We The People” vs. the “DC Insiders” money bomb. The goal is to raise $500k for the day for Rand Paul’s campaign. The last money bomb yielded over $433k so the goal is achievable, but I would be surprised if the $500k is reached. I can’t blame anyone for aiming high though. Pledge today and help spread the word.

The more money the campaign raises the more vicious the attacks will become. Fighting the power makes the powerful uneasy and desperate. Rand Paul is fighting and has the best chance of any liberty candidate to actually win a U.S. Senate seat. In the name of freedom, let us help him be victorious.

Hint....

Shed the republican party like the dirty suit it is.

Run as an independent, run as an American. Elected as a republican, just another professional politician, like father, like son.

You are beginning to scare me and probably others as well. I don't believe in our two wings of our one party but you carry your hatred too far and pick and choose who you support when they run as a republican.

As we all know, Sarah Palin ran as a pubbie for VP in the last election. Her message was one that she was an israhelli firster. Apparently you don't care because she is a woman, a woman who you apparently are enamoured with. You continue to blow her horn and put down those of us who realize she would be a willing puppet for those in control.

What is it yoou say about us, "we are women haters" because we aren't head over heels in love with Sarah? Why aren't you grilling her sorry ass for running in the pubbie party like you are Ron Paul and now Rand Paul?

I really like you and see many things you write that shows you understand most of the issues. Why does the bitch Sarah get a pass from you and you attempt to crucify Ron Paul and now Rand Paul for running as Republicans? Try running as a Third Party candidate yourself and tell us how easy it is to get elected. Then maybe we will believe you.

Your hypocracy is showing!!!!!

Cynicom blew it with me. The coward doesn't have the decency and guts to post an answer to my number 13. This is exactly what we are up against when it comes to our politicians. Cyni, you missed your call, you should have been a Third Party politician. Maybe you and the SWIMMER could have been best friends and cohorts.

You seem to have all the answers to questions that aren't directed to you. If it means anything at all, you arent alone. Many on here blame Ron Paul for our presnt lousy affairs of state and our political problems. Dam that sonof a bitch Ron Paul! If only we had elected mclame and the hottie Sarah who were running on the republican ticket! You Cyni, are "pisshole strung"!

.............and I see you are still ridiculing Ron Paul and tooting the horn of Sarah the twit. From here you look just like a politician who skirts the real issues. Your cute little answer is something a pol on the take would utter. Of course I'm back. Are you?

Why does Sarah the republican get kudos from you and the others are lousy no good MF's? You are giving obanger competition!

You were near the top of my list. Not any more. I've asked you twice already and will one more time to go outta my way to be polite to you. I'm sure that is more than you probably would give me. So here goes! Why is it ok for Sarah to run as a pubbie with your blessings and everyone eles is a no good bastard for running as a pubbie?

I have never ever used the bozo filter against any poster including old friend, A.K.A Stone, or longnosegar. I am considering using it against you. You should feel so proud to be included in such company. You certainly can't be that retarded to continue lifting up Sarah who ran as a pubbie and keep ridiculing others for doing the same. Do you know how you look: do you even care? Answer my question. Why does Sarah get a pass from you?

i think Cyni is thinking that Sarah Palin might be a contender to lead the effort for a third party.

Don't lower yourself to his level. Don't make excuse for him. He never mentioned a Third Party run by his darling Sarah. I can tell you this. Third Party "runs" are a waste of time, effort, and money. I will never ever get involved in another campaign again period. Infact, I will never ever vote again. We tend to blame others, or the pols when it is really our own fault. Everybody got a lame excuse, sometimes even me!

I'll start off with a compliment. Not many people will admit faults, so thumbs up on that one.

Next. What is wrong with Sarah Palin? She is right on most issues.

Good... evidently you are a poster who can articulate her stances, include links please.

I would like links to her statements on illegal immigration, TARP bailouts, healthcare and and the Obamaplan if possible, foreign policy including the Israeli/Palestinian problems and possible involvement with Iran, the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars..... for starters.

Pro-amnesty

Pro-Tarp (but didn't understand it, thought it would less us afford healthcare for some crazy fucking reason)

healthcare and and the Obamaplan if possible-Against completely.

Pro-Israel- But not much more than that, she doesn't comprehend complicated issues. Paraphrase of her "Never second guess Israel."

Pro-surge in Iraq

Pro war in Afghanistan. Pro surge in Afhanie too.

Iran- Don't let them have nukes. Never threatened them directly, but wouldn't second guess Israel if they attack.
