Overpopulation - Smells Like A Barn Out Of A Faucet By Frosty Wooldridge 9-19-9

The more the United States adds people, the more water we use, the more food we eat, the more land we cultivate, the more fertilizer we use, the more energy we burn-thus, the more we pollute the air, land and water.

Example: the Mississippi River spews millions of gallons of toxic water into the Gulf of Mexico 24/7 to create a 10,000 square mile dead zone. Toxins include fertilizer runoff, insecticides, herbicides, household wastes, sewage and a host of chemicals. Vertebrates cannot live in it, thus, our poisons created a dead ocean area. As humans' ultimate toilet, worldwide, our oceans suffer horrific consequences to marine life, plankton and fisheries.

Most Americans cannot 'see' overpopulation. And, their leaders fail to address it. Everyone finds it easy to avoid, deny or reject. But day by day, week by week, month by month and year by year-overpopulation impacts every American-and it's growing worse as we add 3.4 million people to the U.S. annually, predominantly by immigration. Ironically, those immigrants stream into America from overpopulated countries that add 77 million people, net gain, annually to the planet. Next destination: 100 million people added to America by 2035. That's 26 years from now.

Even more astounding, most Americans cannot get their emotional or mental arms around what they face with an added 100 million people. Thus, they avoid talking about it and the media ignores it. They may avoid it, but in the end, overpopulation will not avoid anyone.

In an expose' article in the New York Times, Charles Duhigg reported, "WI; Health Ills Abound as Farm Runoff Fouls Wells" September 18, 2009.

MORRISON, Wis. - "All it took was an early thaw for the drinking water here to become unsafe," Duhigg reported. "There are 41,000 dairy cows in Brown County, which includes Morrison, and they produce more than 260 million gallons of manure each year, much of which is spread on nearby grain fields. Other farmers receive fees to cover their land with slaughterhouse waste and treated sewage. In measured amounts, that waste acts as fertilizer. But if the amounts are excessive, bacteria and chemicals can flow into the ground and contaminate residents' tap water.

"In Morrison, more than 100 wells were polluted by agricultural runoff within a few months, according to local officials. As parasites and bacteria seeped into drinking water, residents suffered from chronic diarrhea, stomach illnesses and severe ear infections."

"Sometimes it smells like a barn coming out of the faucet," said Lisa Barnard, who lives a few towns over, and just 15 miles from the city of Green Bay.

"Tests of her water showed it contained E. coli, coliform bacteria and other contaminants found in manure," Duhigg said. "Last year, her 5-year-old son developed ear infections that eventually required an operation. Her doctor told her they were most likely caused by bathing in polluted water.

"Agricultural runoff is the single largest source of water pollution in the nation's rivers and streams, according to the E.P.A. An estimated 19.5 million Americans fall ill each year from waterborne parasites, viruses or bacteria, including those stemming from human and animal waste, according to a study published last year in the scientific journal Reviews of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology."

As a world traveler, I witnessed what water pollution does to human beings. Waterborne diseases kill millions of people annually. Over 1.5 billion humans cannot obtain a clean glass of drinking water because they live in squalor, near outhouses and human-contaminated water sources.

"The problem is not limited to Wisconsin," Duhigg said. "In California, up to 15 percent of wells in agricultural areas exceed a federal contaminant threshold, according to studies. Major waterways like the Chesapeake Bay have been seriously damaged by agricultural pollution, according to government reports. In Arkansas and Maryland, residents have accused chicken farm owners of polluting drinking water. In 2005, Oklahoma's attorney general sued 13 poultry companies, claiming they had damaged one of the state's most important watersheds."

"One cow produces as much waste as 18 people," said Bill Hafs, a county official who has lobbied the state Legislature for stricter waste rules. "There just isn't enough land to absorb that much manure, but we don't have laws to force people to stop."

"In Brown County, part of one of the nation's largest milk-producing regions, agriculture brings in $3 billion a year," Duhigg said. "But the dairies collectively also create as much as a million gallons of waste each day. Many cows are fed a high-proteindiet, which creates more liquid manure that is easier to spray on fields. In 2006, an unusually early thaw in Brown County melted frozen fields, including some that were covered in manure. Within days, according to a county study, more than 100 wells were contaminated with coliform bacteria, E. coli, or nitrates - byproducts of manure or other fertilizers."

Ask yourself if you as a citizen of the United States want to see another 100 million people added to this country. Ask what your children will face. Discover what our civilization faces as it continues its march toward 400, then 500 and 600 million people within this century.

Overpopulation affects every single environmental, energy, water, species extinction, climate destabilization, pollution and quality of life issue in the United States-as well as the rest of the world. We must become bold, outspoken and proactive. Since we have maintained a stable population since 1970 by averaging 2.03 children per family, we must take action on what causes our overpopulation crisis: legal and illegal immigration from a line of immigrants that grows by 77 million annually.

We must enact a "U.S. Sustainable Immigration Policy" of less than 100,000 annually. Why? That's how many egress the country each year. Thus, zero net gain. Result: stable population and ability to manage and solve our environmental, water, food, energy and other challenges.

If we fail, as a civilization, we will become like a dog chasing its tail into utter exhaustion and collapse.

_______

To take action: First and foremost, join www.numbersusa.com and become one of nearly a million Americans making impact with pre-written faxes and phone calls to change immigration policies toward a stable future. Bi-partisan and highly effective!

Explain, in your own words (not some slimy cut&paste exercise of futility) why over-population is a "hoax."

I think over-population is a REAL issue as our rights and freedoms are being trashed in order to control or otherwise manage that same over-crowded population confined to the same areas of living.

But, you won't comment other than ripping off some off-the-wall BS that you found on a publick shit-house wall somewhere.

In a way we do have some overpopulation, but it is a created circumstance. By loading in several million Mexicanos and South Americans of various flavors into the country each year an artificial overpopulation "problem" is being created. It is not a real overpopulation but a bubble created in some areas and then exacerbated by Petrochemical based "farming" which then leaches "waste" into the water table and streams. The solution is organic permaculture but farmers have been so sold on the Petro=farming that they need education on what they are doing to themselves, their families, and their future. Then they need to be taught new methods of farming that produces wholesome food with a fraction of the waste. That can be done, but over the dead bodies of the elites who profiting off this now and setting up a population collapse by concentrating people into smaller areas where they can be killed off quickly en masse'.

An ever expanding population of consumers is what our current model of corporate capitalism depends on to maintain even the current levels. Our numbers will not be allowed to decline, with immigration making up for the lower birthrates.

Do you actually believe that you can stay here by pretending to be someone other than who you really are while using another computer with a different IP?

Of course the idea of apologizing for your behavior and asking to return is unthinkable to your psycho ass, isn't it?

If you can't sneak back while hiding your identity and with a disgusting screen name so you can take shots at people who have never wronged you, well, life holds no excitement for you at all, does it ninpo the gimpo?

You've finally realized that there are permanent consequences to being a troll, and this is your solution? You can't be honest or humble or the slightest bit contrite. You have to try to outsmart us so you can troll us some more.

Well, let me remind you that being an obnoxious troll was never a matter of choice for you, and you'll soon be banned under this IP and screen name because you just can't help it-you're a spoiled, mentally deranged asshole.

You're a former LF poster who won't reveal his identity and who says I'm a "hater" for targeting ninpo? Well, the only person who would attack me while actually running interference for ninpo is ninpo, and that's why it has to be you, asshole!

You also sneaked back to Boondocks but you're quiet as a mouse over there. You won't even post because you'll be banned as soon as you show your ass. But here is so much more fun, isn't it? You can blindside people for no reason and pull all of your old tricks and all the while laughing at the woman whose private pix you threatened to post and that got you booted from BD.

And when you read your own history you realize that you are seriously deranged so you think you can play on the net and hide your true identity forever?

How long before you post some anti hunting, anti meat eating diatribe and reveal yourself?

Good luck trying to keep your disease under wraps. Of course you'll convince yourself that you were bored and ready to be banned, but we both know know that you just can't help it and that's why you can't go anywhere without being banned on sight.

Check out the new sig line.

Bucky, ugliness is an inner thing and an attitude. You are only as ugly as you think you are. Disfigured perhaps, but not ugly.

Whatever our disagreements I do not think you a bad person.

So, whatever pains you might have endured in your life, and perhaps more than some, those weigh only as much as you allow them to weigh, and when you choose not to carry them as burdens they become the lighter for it.

Mr wudidiz,

The last few years before my brother died I was quite possibly his only friend and advocate.

After his final appeal for a VA pension was denied I wrote a FOIA request demanding the FBI files and anti war records of all the physicians who treated him at VA hospitals, and I let bro sign it and mail it in.

Two weeks later he had a 50% pension with no explanation for the reversal of the final denial by the hearing board in Washington. (I repeated it a while later with a Korean era vet after his final appeal and he too received a pension in less than a month. In both cases the govt never replied to the FOIAs so, I think we can assume that I am responsible for the reversals)

In the course of helping my brother I got a great look at the VA system, the counselors (his was in college at the time of the war and I'd bet money that he was a protester. He was also a non Christian) and I actually believed that the counselor was laughing at my brother and his pathetic mental state.

After my brother explained how the VA was giving him zombie drugs instead of trying to treat his mental anguish I instructed him to stop the meds which he did.

When he told the VA that he stopped the meds They tried to physically restrain him and "green ward" him (At McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond the green ward is the nut hut for violent and other involuntary commitments) but my brother was very strong and a skilled street fighter and he broke away, went home and called me in Delaware.

I instructed him to immediately call the local magistrate which he did, and the magistrate ordered the VA doctors and my brother to appear within the hour. After hearing the circs he asked the doctors one question: "Is this man a threat to himself or others?" When the doctors replied in the negative the magistrate ordered them to keep their hands off this son of the commonwealth, and my brother's ass was thoroughly kissed on each visit to McGuire thereafter.

In the process I became so disgusted with the systematic mistreatment of Nam-era vets that I can't even think about it without the Hellfire flying into me. That coupled with Hollywood's "insults to injuries" by making every wild eyed bank robber or mad bomber a disgruntled Nam vet convinced me that fighting Commies is never to be forgiven and is to be forever punished by fifth columnists in govt and Hollywood.

And, lets never forget that the spreading of DU around the world and particularly in Iraq was preceded by the spraying of Dioxin in Nam by troops who weren't warned or even issued dust masks as they handled, loaded and sprayed the nasty stuff. (My brother said he scraped the stuff off of puddles before drinking so he was sprayed or in the area immediately after the spraying)

My brother was 18 when he was drafted and he didn't know diddly about politics. He did his duty including signing up for a 2nd tour (presumably because of the financial incentives offered) and when he came home he moved to CA and landed a coveted Sgt's slot in the CA National Guard.

It was six years later that his demons began to visit him, and the physical ailments began shortly after. He lost his guard slot and had trouble trying to keep any job because of physical and mental problems. One employer said, "If I knew you were a Vietnam vet I wouldn't have hired you!"

You can imagine my outrage when his service records placing him in the theater where Agent Orange was sprayed had "disappeared", a practice that was all too common I later learned. Despite this he received a small check from an AGENT ORANGE FUND which we didn't even know existed after his pension kicked in, and each year around December the check came until he passed away. (This conscience money and lost records was no doubt the product of some clever psychological analyses and planning on how to acknowledge and defuse the anger while protecting corporate America from the lawsuits.)

My brother the patriot was victimized by a system that turned on him, but as a savvy tax protester it didn't shock me nearly as much.

The long and short of it is this: Nam vets do whatever they must to cope with these unspeakable absurdities, and I won't second guess or criticize because thank G_D it didn't happen to me.

And, if I had the power to divert monies away from well connected buddies of the treasury and into treatment and compensation for vets, I would.

And, Nam is the precedent for the ungodly abuse of horribly wounded and maimed vets in this current evil for profit.

And, after learning about buckeroo's service and injuries I changed my tune for one simple reason. His govt may have turned their back on him but I won't. (his home page reveals his great courage and I can sense what he must feel as he copes and survives day to day) I don't have many tender spots reserved in this cynical heart but when I meet Nam vets I make an effort to let them know, often without even speaking.

I hope you understand.

I appreciate your support in many things and I hope you can find it in your heart to make allowances for any idiosyncrasies he may have just as you do for mine.

I hope you understand.

I do understand and I agree.

My problem with buckeroo is his approach.

freedom4um.com/cgi-bin/re...i?ArtNum=107001&Disp=2#C2

He was baiting me just as he was baiting OI earlier on this thread.

This is not the first time he and I argued about overpopulation. He knows that. He knows that I can and sometimes do more than 'slimy' cut and paste. He argued with me before about this issue while posting under a different handle.

I appreciate your support in many things and I hope you can find it in your heart to make allowances for any idiosyncrasies he may have just as you do for mine.

Yes, of course, thank you.

I have little problem with buckeroo. I can certainly empathize with his experience and condition.

I have little problem with buckeroo.

I mean I don't really have a problem with him.

Explain, in your own words (not some slimy cut&paste exercise of futility) why over-population is a "hoax."

Buck overpopulation is a bunch of BS. You seem to fall for a lot of BS. You believe in the global warming myth also. Despite the FACT that antartica has plant life under the ice. Proving the earth was once much warmer. Before the flood in case you wondered. Anyways to answer your question.

I'll answer your question with a question. Buckeroo if you put earths entire population in Texas, how many square ft would each person have?

Get yourselves a berkeywater.com water purification system, no matter how good, or bad your water supply.

They work.
