there IS a difference between wild, feral cats and domesticated, house-broke cats.

How? The tamed cats have basket to lay their shit in the home?

If it's an indoor-only cat, you check the litterbox once a day and scoop out the poop and clumped urine and tie in a Wal-Mart bag and dispose of it. The owners who let the litterbox get out of control are responsible for bad smells, if you stay on top of it then it's all good.

Why go through that rigmarole?

Keep the litterbox next to the toilet and scoop the clumps into that instead. I've heard people say that it clogs the plumbing but we have five cats, four litterboxes and have been doing it for years.

Why don't you save yourself the self same grief? Place the goddammned creatures in the toilet to begin with? Strangle them at will as opposed to stroke them.

there IS a difference between wild, feral cats and domesticated, house-broke cats.

I fed a feral cat for almost a year from the time I first saw him when he was about 3 months old. He used to like to fetch a small piece of rolled up paper. One night, as I sat there, he came and slowly climbed up in my lap, and began purring and kneading my legs. He did it many times after that. He disappeared a year and two days ago, and I searched for him for 10 months. I'm still not over him, so I can only imagine how much more you are hurting, christine, and my heart breaks for you. Not a sparrow falls without God noticing. All tears will be wiped away when Jesus comes back, and He "told" me a long time ago I would see a beloved dog again, so I trust we will see our cats again, too. Until then, hold tight the memories of your well-loved boy, cry as much as you need to, trust God to make you whole again, and know we're all pulling for you [or at least, MOST of us].

I guess you could call it that.

I asked for a sign as I looked out into the back yard. I asked for the honeysuckle tree [not bush, TREE, which is most beautiful btw...I love that thing] to sway. It was a very still day and nothing was moving, but no sooner did I ask, but the tree started to sway as if a big gust of wind had hit it. I was quick to notice nothing else was moving, just the honeysuckle tree. I thought wow, maybe it was just a coincidence, so would You mind doing that again? The tree swayed and the branches bent over to within about a foot or two of the ground, more than I had ever seen, even in the biggest ice storms, and still, no other trees were moving. I said, okay, just one more time, to be sure....and nothing happened. Immediately it came to mind, "O ye of so little faith," and I thought okay, God, I believe you.

But, your vision had nothing to do with dead-cats, did it? You were inspired by GOD (himself) for your dead-dog.

Correct me if I misinterpreted you based upon your original post.

Yes it was a vision for my dog. However, we have asked and been given signs for other pets as well, such as guinea pigs and rabbits. It has gotten to the point that we don't even ask anymore, because we now expect they will all be back with us some day, but sometimes some sort of sign is given anyway. I gather you don't like cats, but God created them, and when He was done creating, He stood back from His creation, ALL of it, and said it was very good. I was always a dog person, but when this cat came into my life that changed a bit. Now I love them both.

WTF is wrong with you?

What a POS are you to say such a thing to Christine.

Perhaps the same should have been done at your breeding.

I share that sentiment my friend. Christine is nice to everyone and even allowed buck back on here even when he was trying to fool her with different screen names. She was gracious enough to allow him to come back and this is how he repays her. He better be glad it isn't my board because he would be out of here for cold, callous remarks like that.

No one should ever make light of the loss of someone's pet. Only people who have pets and who have become attached to them know the pain when something happens to them. You and Bill have my sympathies Christine. Was very sorry to read about Oliver's passing but I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that you gave him a wonderful life.
