This is pretty amazing, and explains quite a lot about 2012. And, about the careful organization of the universe!

The Actual Astronomy of 2012 - Absolutely Amazing!

One Day a Jewish person came to Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (as), thinking that since Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb thinks he is too smart, I will ask him such a tough question that he won't be able to answer it and I will have the chance to embarrass him in front of all the Arabs.

Jewish person asked "Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb, tell me a number, that if we divide it by any number from 1-10 the answer will always come in the form of a whole number and not as a fraction."

Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (as) looked back at him and said, "Take the number of days in a year and multiply it with the number of days in a week and you will have your answer."

The Jewish person got astonished but as he was a polytheist (Mushrik), he still didn't believe Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (as). He calculated the answer Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (as) gave him.

To his amazement he came across the following results: The number of Days in a Year = 360 (in Arab) (and Bible)

The Number of Days in a Week = 7

The product of the two numbers = 2520

Now...

2520 ÷ 1 = 2520

2520 ÷ 2 = 1260

2520 ÷ 3 = 840

2520 ÷ 4 = 630

2520 ÷ 5 = 504

2520 ÷ 6 = 420

2520 ÷ 7 = 360

2520 ÷ 8 = 315

2520 ÷ 9 = 280

2520 ÷ 10= 252

2,520 is the first number divisable by all single numbers, evenly.

The above is a pretty interesting site.

And, the number 2520 is a VERY interesting number. From the year of the fall of Jerusalem in 607 B.C.E., until 1914 C.E., when Jesus the Christ came to David's throne is 2,520 years. Just a coincidence, surely…….

1914 C.E., when Jesus the Christ came to David's throne

How's that?

1914, according to the Bible, is the year when Jesus Chrsit came to David's throne. It is clearly explained in the Bible, using the 2,520 years timeline from the fall of Jerusalem.

I guess your JW friends haven't indoctrinated you yet on what you are supposed to believe about astronomy huh? Also, the Witnesses have it very wrong on the fall of Jerusalem happening in 607 BCE. The actual year was 587 BCE and is well verified unless you intentionally put blinders on to suit your particular set of beliefs. Personally I'm more interested in truth than I am a religion that has to repeatedly tell itself it is The Truth (R). The 587/607 mistake is a huge foundational problem for the Witnesses and simply questioning the mistake is likely to get you in bad favor very quickly. For someone that acts like they know everything, you really missed the boat on this one.

I know I might regret asking this, but how is it clearly explained?

You are correct, and I apologize; the year 607 is the when the word went forth to rebuild Jerusalem, which is the correct beginning for the time line of 2,520 years. I typed too fast and did not pay correct attention to the details.

I know I might regret asking this,

If you are going to regret it, then it is not something that we should be getting into.

However, if you wish to research it yourself, you can read the book of Daniel. BUT, to understand the timelines laid out, you need to also understand the info in the Book of Leviticus, where Jehovah talked to the Israelites and told them that they had to spend forty years wandering in the wilderness because of the scouts who went out into the promised land for forty days and came back and spread fear. Because the Israelites did not have faith in Jehovah, they had to spend a year for a day; forty years in the wilderness for 40 days scouting out the land promised to them.

There is your clue to understand what is being talked about.

1 John 4;8 He that does not love has not come to know God, because God is love. : Matthew 22:39 ...‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

So the word to rebuild Jerusalem went forth before it actually fell some 20 years later?

If you have the WT CD you can look up the following:

"This marked time began in the year 1914 (A.D.). In that important year the 'appointed times of the nations,' 2,520 years long, ran out. If we measure back that many years from 1914 we come to the ancient date of 607 B.C. That year was marked for the overthrow of the earthly "throne of Jehovah" and for the destruction of the throne city of Jerusalem and its sanctuary and for the total desolation of the land of the kingdom of Judah." (From the Book, "Your Will," 1958, pp. 309-310, Watchtower CD, emphasis added).

The Witnesses own literature refute the claim you just made. The Witnesses claim it was the destruction of Jerusalem, not "the word to rebuild being sent forth". Did you just pull that one out of your ass, because it sure smells like it. The Witnesses have bet the entire farm on the 607 BCE date. Without it they can't justify 1914, and they have hinged everything off 1914. The whole thing is a house of cards.
