I'd love to have my '50 Merc with the suicide doors right now. Or any other of my rides that I've had over the years.

I had a 59 Cadillac Fleetwood... OMG what it would be worth today.

Let me get this straight.

Obama's health care plan shall be written by a committee whose head says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it, signed by a president who smokes and has no birth certificate, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is overweight and financed by a country that is nearly broke.

We had a '79 Fleetwood Brougham that Mrs.L is still kicking my ass for trading in on a pos '84 Continental.

I don't blame her.

I screwed up, royally.

Couldn't copy the image for some reason. So here is a link.

"If, from the more wretched parts of the old world, we look at those which are in an advanced stage of improvement, we still find the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry, and grasping the spoil of the multitude. Invention is continually exercised, to furnish new pretenses for revenues and taxation. It watches prosperity as its prey and permits none to escape without tribute." --Thomas Paine, Rights of Man, 1791

We had a '73 Lincoln Continental Mark VI. It had a 460 in it. Custom paint, red, silver and black. We called it the pimp mobile.

I've never known a guy yet that didn't lament about a car he had.

Too funny.

We also had a silver '73 Mark VI that was stolen from the parking lot where Mrs.L worked.

Several years later, the Laredo PD called up and told us that they had recovered the rig.

I asked them what shape was it in, and they said it looked pretty good.

So, I flew down to drive it home. Big mistake. They had changed out the front clip to an '80 Mercury, and the rest of the car was pathetic.

Finally, I got back home and sold the poor thing for the price of the gorgeous rims.

We recently had our pick-up truck stolen. Nine months later a Deputy called us at 11:30pm. He found our truck sitting in the back of an apartment complex 2 miles from our house, under cover no less. The stereo and box of hand tools were missing but aside from the dead battery the truck was in perfect shape. Lumber rack and camper shell still there. It had been sitting there the whole 9 months. The battery still had one week left on warranty and the tires had flat spots but we were happy to have the truck back.

Not me.

I lament the computers I've had.

Redneck vs. cop: Redneck. Cop vs. n-word: Cop. n-word vs. white guilter: n-word. Being a lawyer knocks you down a peg, so redneck lawyer vs. cop and n-word lawyer vs. white guilter are toss-ups. White guilter lawyers are the lowest form of life.
Open season on them.

Here's another one I lament about:

Good car. I wonder what it would be worth today.

In my younger days I had a used Porsche. It was not the fastest thing on the road, but it handled great. It felt like the car was an extension of my body.

Now, I have a minivan.

My mom inherited a 1959 Cadillac Convertible ... Red with leather interior. Some Hollywood outfit bought it from my dad.

I sold mine for two hundred dollars. lol
