Why is that, exactly? Is it because Federal workers are 80% better than private-sector workers? What bullshit.. Why does the local doctor make $250,000 and the plumber makes $60,000???? Stupid author, stupid question.
That "average" is just plain wrong. It gives as the "average" for federal workers a salary that is definitely in the Executive altitude (upper GS-12 to GS-14), a definite minority of federal civil servants, most of whom are GS-9 or below, making less than $45G.
Mr. Blodget, with his interests in Silicon valley and Wall Street, is obviously far removed from reality. I personally have observed that those working in federal government do NOT receive recompense any where near the private sector. Years of being underpaid are only rewarded if they stay employed until retirement to receive benefits that private enterprise can't afford and doesn't offer.
Typical who you know and who you blow pay scale for ass-suckers with friends in authority. And I guess "they" need someone to harrass Citizens taking photos in public parks.
It might surprise some people that the majority of the "workers" in government despise the government as much as everyone else. It is a job nothing more.
I cannot disagree with that. Remember that old movie The Blob with the young and dashing Steve McQueen? Well, our federal government has become the blob--an ever expanding, uncontrolled, mass of insatiable and noxious Zionist slime choking the life out of America and Americans.

I fought them for 25 years and lost every time. After risking my life for four years in the Korean thing, I wanted some compensation for four years of my life at the miserable pay I received. ' By going to work for the Federal I did get the four years towards retirement. Most of the people that found fault with government drones at that time, stayed home during Korea and Vietnam.
Mr. Blodget also thought pets.com was an excellent "buy and hold" investment and thought the dot-com boom would go on forever.
