This is Gloria from Newt Gingrich’s political action group wondering if you have the time to listen to a short message from Newt. [What TF?!? This, along with the occasional RNC mail begging for cash, served as a very painful reminder that I long ago actually gave money to these assholes] Well, OK. [a click or two then…] Hello! This is Newt Gingrich! [Lord, give me strength] [paraphrasing] Are you as concerned as I am about the direction president Obama is taking this country? His out of control spending projects shall add $9 Trillion to America’s debt over the next ten years--that’s money you, your children and your grand children will have to pay. [yada, yada, more yada] President Obama is running the United States into socialist ground and for the very future existence of America and Americans must be stopped. [yada, yada, more yada] I am requesting your help--your assistance--in preventing this tragedy by joining forces with me and my new coalition. [yada, yada, more yada] So please hold on and my representative shall be back to explain how you can help. [click] Hello, Mr. B, this is George. Hello, George Did you hear Newt’s message? Yes, clearly. Did you agree with the concerns and issues raised by Newt? Absolutely. Well, you, too, can participate in Newt’s project of vital importance to the survival of this country. Whoa, nope, ain’t gonna happen. What? You know, George, I understand that you are most likely a mere fundraiser doing a job but hear me out: [paraphrasing and this all came out with an unsurpassed eloquence and fluidity built upon a foundation of years of paying attention] Yes, I am immensely concerned about the federal government and Obama spending money they clearly don't have and cannot possibly obtain and that same government acting far beyond constitutional scope and authority. It is nothing short of outrageous and treasonous. However, it is incredulous that Newt Gingrich is now proffering to combat this “evil” government when he has such a long history within it. What, was it ? 24 years in the House for Newt? He is part and parcel of the same corrupt group of traitors and idiots that comprise--now and in the past--the American federal government. I am one of exponentially growing number of Americans who are onto and fed up with the two party Republican/Democrat fraud--the political party dichotomy fraud--long perpetrated upon America and Americans. It is disingenuous for Newt to now be claiming to be part of the solution when he was permanent part of the problem. It was Republicans that started the bailouts of the Wall Street financial terrorists and it was Republicans along with Democrats who promoted these unnecessary and bankrupting wars halfway around the world which are without justification in any sense of American interests. And, the government is and was doing all this while leaving our very borders wide open. Homeland security is a sick joke--a ruse aimed at Americans under the guise of some feigned foreign threat. [yada, yada, more yada for about four minutes total] Again, George, I know you are a fundraiser but I sincerely hope that you have heard what I’ve said. George: “Wow.” [short pregnant silence] Well..
