NAMPA -- The first shipment of the swine flu vaccine is in and thousands of people lined up at the old Sportsman's Warehouse complex in Nampa to get it. Recent reports of school closures, people getting sick and even deaths in other states had people waiting in line for hours just to get the free shot. Nasal and injectable vaccines given out The turnout was what health officials expected, around 3,000 people lined up Saturday morning to get the H1N1 vaccine before the flu caught them. "We have been standing in line for two and a half hours, we got here at 10:45, 10:30, we are just hoping to get the shot," said Amanda Harris and Tim Henderson, went to get shots. "It was my dad's idea,” said Hailee Goddard, who got shot with her brothers and her dad. “He came and woke me up at 9 and said ‘let’s go and get a flu shot’, and so I said ‘let’s go and ruin my Saturday.’” It wasn't the way many wanted to spend their weekend, but with news of people getting infected daily, they did to get the coveted H1N1 vaccine. People who live within the Southwest District Health regions started lining up by 7 in the morning -- and around 10 -- an hour before the doors opened -- the line had grown and grown and grown some more. "A little while ago, they said that we might not be able to get there, but someone came by a few minutes ago and gave us the thumbs up so it was looking for favorable," said Cindy Howarth, who stood in line for the vaccine. Mike di Donato/KTVB And as they made their way from outside to inside the empty warehouse, organized chaos pushed the patrons through, giving shots and nasal sprays to those who wanted it. "We wanted to get the injection to prove like, we don't want to get the H1N1, so, to prevent it, just to be safe," said Natalie Garcia, who received the vaccine. Garcia, her family and others like her say it's better to get the shot than risk getting the swine flu. "I don't like shots,” said Ivan Bickford. “It scares me. I was wondering with the nasal one that the shot may be better. It didn't hurt at all, so i was quiet pleased," "Today we have about 1,500 doses of the flu mist available, which is for children age 2 up to adults age 40, and 1,200 doses of injectable vaccines for adults," said Bruce Krosch, the Southwest District Health director. 48 health officials were on hand to keep the process running smoothly, and organizers have been training for months, some say years, for an epidemic like this. And those on the receiving end of Saturday's clinic say it was a success. "Come and get your shot if you can, if you are not working, and get protected," said Elizabeth Cardnas, who came with her daughter to get vaccinated. According to the final numbers from Southwest District Health, they saw close to 3,000 people, about 400 an hour. Some people had to wait in line for four hours to get the vaccine. Southwest District Health does not have the vaccine for pregnant women, but it's hoping to get that type soon. The next clinic will be Saturday October 24 at 11 a.m. at the same spot in the Sportsman's Warehouse complex. Central District Health will also start its public clinics on the 24 at 10 a.m. They will be vaccinating school kids starting on Monday. Parents in the Meridian and Boise school districts should have received permission slips from your children for the vaccine.

I, stupidly, thought that the folks in Idaho were brighter and more well-informed than this. Maybe there only ten p/c or fewer of us out here.
1st comes hope and soon after "change" !
The U.S. Govt is a tyrannical butcher; U.S. taxpayers are accomplices to international murder and mayhem. If you satisfy your fears by bowing to this butcher, you forfeit your humanity and possibly your soul.

Can this guy be tried for child abuse? Or do the ones pushing this vaccine deserve all the blame? I hope they don't get sick and die from this crap, but I think many will.
