8 U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan October 27, 2009 11:08 a.m. EDT Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- The U.S. military suffered another day of heavy losses in Afghanistan on Tuesday as roadside bombs killed eight U.S. service members, the U.S. military said. An Afghan civilian working with NATO troops also was killed in the attacks in southern Afghanistan, the military said. The military gave no further details about the bombings, which it said also wounded several other service members. The attacks happened a day after 14 Americans were killed in a pair of helicopter crashes in Afghanistan. It was the largest number of Americans killed in Afghanistan in a single day in more than four years. With the deaths of two troops on Sunday, a total of 24 Americans -- most of them military -- have been killed in a 48-hour period. That makes October 2009, with 58 fatalities, the deadliest month for the U.S. military since the Afghanistan war began in October 2001. Enemy action was not thought to be the cause of either of Monday's helicopter crashes. Three Drug Enforcement Administration special agents and seven U.S. troops were killed in one crash in western Afghanistan as they returned from a raid on a compound believed to be harboring insurgents tied to drug trafficking. The other crash, in which two helicopters collided over southern Afghanistan, killed four Marines.

The U.S. Govt has become a tyrannical butcher; U.S. taxpayers are accomplices to international murder and mayhem. If you satisfy your fears by bowing to this butcher, you forfeit your humanity and possibly your soul.
I hope the partisan "anti-war" (snicker) RATS take up pitchforks and hang the Chimp'n'Chief before more young people are slaughtered for their New Kommunist World Order...hope, change, hope, change...hope. Change.
This madness must be ended. Why are we sending DEA agents to Afghanistan, where our military have made quid pro quo wink, wink deals with the drug lords, turning a blind eye to their poppy fields???
This is absolutely tragic. They should have never been in Afghanistan to begin with, and need to be brought home immediately. Same for the non-ambassador guarding troops in all other countries as well. This need to have countless boots in most nations in the world needs to come to an end. It's morally wrong, it's unconstitutional and it is a waste of good American lives and talent.
MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
Jethro: It can get worse, too, considering obummer has been HELPING the opposition with his stalling for reasons of considering the options and giving little attention to those he is in command of. In the meantime, makes one wonder if our POTUS is tied up, his mouth wrapped with duct tape and drugged. Truth is, all this is evidence we have NO ONE in Washington to do what is required, including all those damn criminals who we elected to Congress to represent us.
Do ya' think we can shelf the effort to audit the Fed for a few weeks, gather up the 290(+/-) signatories to that bill, and hold a rally on the steps of congress *and demand* that the troops be brought home YESTERDAY??? This tilting at windmills is a losing proposition.
Do you think we can get enough voters to stop complaining, get off their ass and DO something??? If so, the tea party express is on its trip across country to D.C. Maybe those lazy, complaining Americans will get off their ass and follow it? I keep dreaming!!!
