How about the head diplomat for the Chinese government coming to Washington and posing for pictures wearing a baseball cap, a corporate logo t-shirt, and sneakers while eating a hot dog . . . while saying how "some of my best friends were Americans when I was in college". Would that give you the warm and fuzzies about China? Of course it wouldn't. If anything you would be insulted if not only further enraged. But that is exactly what Hillary Clinton did in her current visit to Pakistan. She donned some local garment and spoke of her taste for Pakistani food- which was enough to earn her kudos from the editors of the Boston Globe: Hokey as her personal diplomacy may sound, Clinton deserves two cheers for trying to improve Americas low esteem with the Pakistani public. She struck the right note when, during her visit, she expressed solidarity with Pakistanis suffering from terrorist atrocities. If the United States wants to partner up with Pakistan, American leaders must begin by undoing the mistrust inculcated in the population by various anti-American conspiracy peddlers. Clinton gets it. Oh right! Clinton "gets it". Never mind that large majorities in Pakistan are enraged against the USA because of the ongoing murder of civilians by US drone attacks not to mention the complete assault upon and total lack of respect for the sovereignty of Pakistan that these attacks represent- Clinton "gets it" because she wore a local costume and spoke of her like of Pakistani food! And this is what earns the respect of the "liberal" editors of the Boston Globe? This pathetic pantomime of diplomacy- this kabuki theater- this insulting idiocy- is what causes the Globe to conclude that "Clinton gets it"? With a bar set so low for doling out praise to our federal politicians for engaging in "diplomacy" you get a good idea of what sort of serious effort is really being given by our war loving elite towards negotiating with Iran. Basically none.

Does anyone know why we send cow, after cow, after cow to deal with the rest of the world?

Because the cud-chewing State Department plays second banana to the meat eating diplomacy of the Pentagon. You won't see a Sec'y of State with any starch under the current order.
