The event did happen witnessed by hundreds.

Accomplished by a man that should never have been in that position. This occurs most often when the "government" and or "military" are involved. Private industry most likely would have shucked the man long ago.

Having been involved in some near monumental military and government screwups in the past, it is easy to see how the chain of events ended this way.

Was he programmed to erupt, paid to erupt or some variety of the same, I have no idea nor does anyone else.

Believe all the minute details???? That is for everyone to accept or reject on their own, with the assurance the military will lie and cover as much of the background as possible.
