These are some spiffy looking automobiles, especially the Statesman and the Ute, which is their version of the El Camino. I still see El Camino's being babied by their owners to make them last, halting production of it was one of the worst decisions GM ever made. This is a photoshopped version:

I kick myself in the ass everyday for trading my '72 GMC SS for a dopey '73 El Camino.

What a goof.

The Ute looks way cool.

Why didn't GM do this several years ago?

Because GM is too conservative for their own good, they're afraid to be innovative. The whole Holden lineup is just powerful, the sedans look like BMW's.

Hmmmmmm.........I don't think I can invest in government motors.

My brother still has his first car, a 64 El Camino. It's his baby. He also has a '70 SS Chevelle.

That Ute Omega would be nice for me, but I'm holding out for a PhoenixMotorCars SUT electric pickup.

They're going to be available next year. They have been available next year for about 4 years now.

Kind of like a modern day Tucker Torpedo.

That Phoenix SUT is pretty spiffy, but it only has a 100 mile radius between charges. If you only need it to tool around town and not go across the state, that won't be a problem.
