Peace. What a wonderful concept. It is simply a shame that so few Christians have any knowledge of the command given by Jesus Christ about living in peace. But then, that should not be a surprise, as we are told about this in the Bible. Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (King James Holy Bible) Daniel 12:4 And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) What does this mean?
shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end
Clearly, it says that not everyone will have access to/accept the truth from the Bible because that knowledge will be sealed up until when?
until the time of [the] end. Then what happens? Take your choice, as they both mean the same thing;
and knowledge shall be increased.
and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. Most of the world that claims to be Christian understands, and accepts, that we are probably living in the last days of this system of things (mans control of governments and other organizations that dominate man to his injury Ecclesiastes 8:9). So there will be new knowledge/true knowledge in abundance at the time of the end. This only makes sense, as it is required by the Perfect Justice of Jehovah God. He will not condemn those who have not had the opportunity to gain the knowledge needed for Salvation. Now, are the churches of Christendom still preaching the same old same old? Or, has their message changed to allow for new information? Of course, you may look at this differently than I do, because some of the messages in those churches is certainly changing, as the admittance of practicing homosexuals to the ministry is certainly something that is new! But is the acceptance of something that is clearly condemned in Holy Scriptures to be considered as new/true, or, simply what it is; additional apostasy? And speaking of peace, are the churches of Christendom becoming makers of peace, or, are they even more so now, strident voices for more war? Are these churches now reforming themselves that they may more closely hold to the Word of Almighty God? Has their message about divorce changed? We have very clear guidance about this from the Sermon on the Mount; Matthew 5:31 31It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (King James Holy Bible) Matthew 5:31 Moreover it was said, Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. 32 However, I say to YOU that everyone divorcing his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her a subject for adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) Is there any question as to what the above means? No, I thought not. Has your church/the churches of Christendom, changed their preaching to this very clear message in the Bible? If not, bear in mind, Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (King James Holy Bible) Matthew 7:15 Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheeps covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men]. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) The message above is very clear. I find it hard to deal with people who can not/do not accept this warning. I did years ago, and cut myself off from all organizations that did not follow the Word of God faithfully. We have another clear warning as well, from the same chapter in the Bible; Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. 13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (King James Holy Bible) Matthew 7:12 All things, therefore, that YOU want men to do to YOU, YOU also must likewise do to them; this, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean. 13 Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) Again, a very, very clear warning, and, it goes right back to that same message in Daniel 12:4;
and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. This is the question that you must ask; is my church teaching the message of the Bible
. Or, are they teaching the traditions of men? It is not hard to decide this/see the Truth. Simply ask yourself these questions; What is my churchs stand on divorce? What is my churchs stand on warfare? What is my churchs stand on earthly governments? What is my churchs stand on homosexuality? What is my churchs stand on the Bible? Is it the inerrant Word of God, or not? Now, does that mean that your church can be wrong on one or two of the questions above, and still be correct in the eyes of Almighty God? Absolutely not, according to the Bible. And, there are two reasons for this. First off, look at this, Daniel 12:4;
and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. That does not say that MOST of the knowledge will become abundant. It says that the TRUE knowledge will become abundant. Then we are also told this, Galatians 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden. (King James Holy Bible) Galatians 6:5 For each one will carry his own load. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) All of these things that we are discussing are personal responsibilities. No church, nor priest nor minister can lift them from your back. Why? Because there no longer is any high priest to make supplication in the name of the nation, nor in individual names, to cover for sins. There is a new High Priest, and his name is Jesus Christ, and he made his supplication once for all time, and from that time forward, everything became a personal responsibility. This is why the priesthood was done away with in the Christian congregation, because we are all responsible for going forth and making disciples. I have had many (well, several anyway) tell me that the Book of James does not belong in the Bible, because of the talk of works therein. But, is that the only place we see such info in the Bible? Not hardly. Galatians 6:4 But let every man prove his own work,
(King James Holy Bible) Galatians 6:4 But let each one prove what his own work is,
(New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (King James Holy Bible) James 2:26 Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (King James Holy Bible) Revelation 22:12 Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to render to each one as his work is. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) That last Scripture, of course, is from the last chapter in the Bible, and it carries a very, very clear warning. And, it also, as does the many other places in the Bible where such is confirmed, establishes the truth of this, faith without works is dead. Alright, let us return to Daniel; Daniel 12:4 And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) When you study the Bible, the Bible always gives two witnesses, at least. So, since we have looked at some of this verse, let us now look at another part of it,
Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (King James Holy Bible) Matthew 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) Please remember that when the Bible speaks of the future, and of events therein, that is prophecy. Since thousands of prophecies in the Bible have come true/been proven to have come true, we should expect that prophecies that have not as yet been fulfilled, will be fulfilled. And the prophecies that have not, as yet, been fulfilled, refer to the end times. There are two such prophecies contained above;
.Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. AND
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations. These two prophecies, from the Book of Daniel and the Book of Matthew, are in agreement. Many must rove about so that the good news of the kingdom will be preached, and, true knowledge must become abundant through this preaching work. Or, the prophecy is false, because Almighty God, in His Perfect Justice, can not end this present wicked system without meeting these conditions. Is there more? Yes, there is, and it is very important,
and then the end will come. This is confirmation that the prophecies in the Book of Daniel MUST be fulfilled BEFORE the end can come. But then, we are also told something else here; the end will come. Do you understand that? And, what it means to you, and to all of the people who live on this planet? THE END WILL COME! Of this, there is no doubt. The problem is, making sense of what is going on, so you can understand what is required by you. After all, each must carry their own load. If you wish to understand this better, there is a paper posted in Scribd titled; A Great Bible Story -- About the End of This (Wicked) System of Things. It is very detailed, and carries a lot of information. This information needs to be searched for through prayer and a humble attitude, asking Almighty God for guidance and help in understanding. Why? Because if this information is correct, then much of what has been taught in the churches of Christendom is a lie. But this is a choice that you must make, if you are willing to humble yourself before God and ask for help. Richard
