I found this little "kwinzy155.exe" executable program on my computer this morning. Is it worth anything? What does it do?

Cloaked Malware

Personally I always expect the minimum of anything from people paid from the public purse. They normally adopt a herd mentality which as any one who has had to sit through a meeting organized by these people will no doubt know will start at the lowest imaginable level and by the process of wallpapering the butt, buck passing, and outsourcing responsibility rapidly develops a spiral decent to the depths of inanity not often seen in the commercial world. -

Thanks but I was looking for a bit more detail about what this little software actually does.

Malware = malicious software. It's infects your computer and hijacks it.

This will probably get rid of it.

It's the best free one I've used. It found and got rid of things others ones didn't.

Thanks. It isn't running or anything like that. And I don't need any help with containing it; all I want to know is what the programs value is, that is to say, what does it do?

I performed some internet searches on Kwinsy but haven't found any specific data to know what it does. Sure, its MALWARE but that's not a problem to me. I want to know what it is designed to do.

If you don't open the kwinzy you probably won't need the malwarebytes. Good to have it anyway in case you ever do of course. I suggest deleting the kwinzy file. If you open it you'll likely have problems. Stop looking at so much porn and you probably won't have these problems.

You're welcome, like I say it's a pretty good one. I had to learn that the hard way. But I don't need it anymore now that I have linux. Never, ever have malware or viruses or trojans or worms or anything.

If I understood the program's function I might be able to comment about how it arrived on one of my machines. Until then I want to understand it's operation.

It's function is to make your life difficult by screwing up your computer.

Ran the free, deep scan for over an hour and it found 35 entries to be whacked.

Thanks, again, for the information.
