BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession. With the U.S. unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, Obama told Fox News his administration faces a delicate balance of trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction.

His administration was considering ways to accelerate economic growth, with tax measures among the options to give companies incentives to hire, Obama said in the interview with Fox conducted in Beijing during his nine-day trip to Asia.

"It is important though to recognize if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy in a way that could actually lead to a double-dip recession," he said.

Fox News, which released a transcript of the interview, showed that comment by Obama on Wednesday morning and said the full discussion would be broadcast later in the day. (Reporting by Caren Bohan; Editing by John O'Callaghan)

Obama: Too much debt could fuel double-dip recession

What is this guy smoking?

What is health care and cap and trade going to do, but push the deficit out of sight?

Obama (the "I" man) sounds more and more ridiculous every day.

I was going to say something about the bad advice he was getting from his Jewish handlers – but I figured you were still on line and that you had suffered enough for one day - right?

Your comment is not borderline stupidity. You have crossed over into the stupid category.

If Obama was a tool of the Jews he wouldn't be bitching about Jews building themselves houses to live in.

Obama is like you. He hates Jews. So you have at least something in common with the Kenyanh.

faces a delicate balance

I'm sure there's an immense difference between $1 trillion and $1.1 trillion. Decisions, decisions.

You know, I for one am kind of glad that this guy is president.

Here's why.

He's pointing out the glaringly obvious. Perhaps the glaringly obvious will resonate with the morons who put him in office. When it does, and they realize that they've been lied to about Health Care, and Cap and Trade, they won't be so apt to support this moron.

I'm going to be glad when this country finally does collapse under the weight that the government has buried it under. It will destroy the ruling elite, and give patriots the ability to seek real redress against a domestic enemy that has plagued us since 1913.

Better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not.
